Pics first...
I'll start at this point in my grow, about 10 days ago.
-Thrips suck. Defoliation, H2O2, poisons...it's better now.

Top Row: 1) Amnesia clone 2) Amnesia clone 3) Amnesia x Citral male F1 4) some random AUTO, supposed to be Jack Herer FEM

2nd Row: 1) 2) 3) Amnesia x Citral male F1

3rd Row: 1) 2) Amnesia x Citral male F1 3) Candy Kush FEM ----------------------------- Right side) three with blue star are GG4 clones

4th Row: 1) 2) 3) Candy Kush Fem

5th Row: 1) 2) Amnesia clone

*Note: Amnesia (labelled here with Silver Star stickers) I think this is a Vanilla Kush because it smells like gas, vanilla, warm, sweet, yummy. I love it so much I keep cloning it.

Amnesia was pollinated X male Citral from AMS. Harvested Early January 2020. There are 6 of these unlabled pictured here. I planted these in haste because I tried for a few weeks to buy seeds online and had a very hard time.

Eventually I succeeded buying seeds again from AMS! I received 5 Candy Kush (labelled here with Gold Star stickers) and immediately popped them. They took a few days to crack while they soaked in water. 4 out of 5 happy Candy Kush sprouts HOORAY I'm stoked about this.

The three GG4 clones on the right: strong medicine, strong odor, but it's not gassy.

My goal is to slowIy hunt FUEL phenos with various citrus or maybe chocolate notes. I'm trying for more gassy OG stuff and totally enjoying the hunt!

So I was :wall: trying to get seeds delivered to the states using credit card after my last little harvest. I stumbled across RIU and quickly found several companies I could try. It may seem trivial to you now, but try buying pot seeds online with next to zero knowledge of trusted seed banks or breeders. Finding RIU was a good start. Not only did I get seeds delivered I await 2 more orders!
Very happy to say I got excited again about growing! So I cleaned up my spare bedroom and bought another tent to keep it all tidy and bug free.

Here's that top right plant. She was sold as a Jack Herer FEM seed, but went full flower while in 24 hour light before I could even start training her. So she is an AUTO, maybe Jack Herer, maybe not... I've never smelled Jack during flower. This plant here has a super sweet candy floral aroma. She boasts no gassy fuel smell at all. It's like pure floral smell. I have been walking back and forth to the garden for sniffs while writing this up and it was only the very last time that I was able to smell a faint background of skunkiness, but only after really looking for it with my nose. If this smells like Jack to you, please let me know.

This was the last plant that could have had thrips as I transittioned to this current grow. I didn't want to spray anything at her, especially poisons because she was flowering already and I am going to be smoking that! But all of the other plants were cut down to barely just the growing tips with no leaves. They were all H2O2'd and poisoned over several weeks with all the good poisons. I bought and use them all rotating between neem oil, Green Cleaner, SNS209, spinosad, Azadirachtin, and Dawn dish soap. And that still goes on. Every week I will mix another random batch of poison using 2 ingredients not used the prior week plus Dawn soap. Yes she infects the others, but I'm confident I can get them under control now.

For 2 years and 5 solid grows after starting growing I realized recently I had thrips. I can now easily spot those shiny silver specks on top of the leaves while looking at all the previous grows. This next photo is from ‎August ‎15, ‎2018. I can smell this pic with my memory...canuk's Cookie. Omg what a yummy plant. Look at all the thrip damage. Again... to reiterate... I did NOT realize I had thrips for at least 2 years!!! Just recently after joining RIU and reading and trying to pay attention to some of you guys KNOW what you are talking about. It's awesome ! digressed there heh ..

Pictured: Spots on leaves are thrip damage. Tiny insect pest. Only the adults can be seen without a jeweler's loop.

So Thank You to Rollitup and those of you who post here for the fantastic, fresh, dialed in information. I really appreciate it!!!!!

Garden Started 12/12 yesterday. These baby girls will wake up at 9pm for the rest of flowering. I know it's early for these little seedlings, but I have to flower now so everything stays sort of short. I have worked the GG clones for 2 cycles so I know how much they stretch - a lot! They ALL stretch A LOT! Not a problem.

But I like keeping them small. Currently the grow includes 4 Amnesia clones and 3 GG clones from about 30 total clones that rooted this time. As they grow I will keep making room until only one or two of each finishes flowering - it's all we need.

I have noticed that plants grow way faster when they are comfortable shoulder to shoulder as opposed to a single struggling clone in the middle of a 3'x3' table all alone, aww sad face. So I make way too many clones and just make sure there are one or two left at the end of flower. Next pic shows like 24 clones (Amnesia and GG) and 1 AUTO: Feb 6, 2020:
DSC01128.JPG
All but the last couple clones slowly get fed to the compost pile as the 3' x 3' hydro table fills with vegetation and other seeds are added.

One 32" tall finished hydro lolipop clone = one mason jar crammed full maybe 1.5 oz i would guess. Next picture is some Agent Orange REG seeds from last crop Dec 18, 2019: DSC01117.JPG

I am on a personal pheno hunt for what I am pretty certain the community calls OG Kush. I love the fruity gassy fuel pine citrus yum! Just thinking about this strain I have mother'd makes me happy happy. The strain was labled Amnesia FEM when I planted it, but it's just not what folks are saying Amnesia is supposed to smell like. I don't know and that's the fun of it !!!

I now have 10 seeds coming up that should/could have the fuel, gas, fruit, floral smells that I'm hunting. As it all medicates me just fine, and I don't discriminate the different highs, my goal is to have the buds that love smelling! So here is the most recent pic of the seedlings. 9 centered in the pic and the one cropped off the top right side:

Yes these seedlings went 12/12 yesterday. This pic captures them waking up at 9pm tonight. Look at all that new growth lacking chlorophyll. Yeah I think they are happy. And I am happy because here are my 10 next lottery chances for another kick ass pheno!!!
You may notice some spotting and unhealthy areas. The pesticides I spray for thrips are causing this damage. I'm getting better at spraying only the rocks /walls/floors while trying to avoid directly spraying the leaves.

Most recent pic of the 3 remaining GG clones in the flower tent. There is one more GG clone in the veg tent to preserve genetics, but this pheno doesn't really do it for me. She is really peppery / spicy and almost too potent. Like total couch time with this girl, jeez. She lacks the fuel that I am so fond of. So I keep her because she is vigorous and has obviously gone thru all the breeding loops. If you notice the middle one I broke off the top last night before their first sleep. This just leaves that one single growing shoot going into flower. In about 35 to 40 days, we will see how it grows compared with ... I will probably only be keeping one other one ... so compared with the other GG clone that finishes too. Notice Less and less thrip damage as we get further away from the date I noticed I had thrips.

Wow this is my first time posting stuff to this degree... I hope my journal makes sense so far.

I want to share how I set up the air scrubber in my 4x8 tent - it actually works well and stays out of my way. The next pic shows looking into the tent at the box thing I made. 3 crates with a rectangle yellow rubber tote lid on top. (cant see the yellow, but can see the shape of it covered with silver tape) Then 1" R-TECH styrofome sits in the yellow plastic lid and seals against the walls of the tent. The hot air from the 600W HPS rises and gets sucked down thru the huge 40 pound air filter. The 10" air filter hole is necked down to the 8" AC INFINITY fan (awesome fans btw) and out the 8" ducting out the window. It's hard to explain, so skip it...i just wanted to brag a little.

I'm a fan of AC Infinity fans... I run mine quiet and all the time.

Back from last time I took mass cuttings. Here is a leaf from the Amnesia that I think might be Vanilla Kush. There were a few of these odd growths. It looks almost like you could grow a plant from that. ‎December ‎28, ‎2019
