Has anyone here ever had a Lucid dream? its where you know your dreaming, and then you can control your dreams, you can fly, smoke a huge spliff, or have sex with anyone you want, lucid dreams are also extreamly vivid and you can feel everything. Anyone can learn how to do this, its really trippy i find that if i smoke before I go to bed I go into a lucid state easier. I'd love to hear what you think.

A lot of times I find myself being able to control it, but it's not like, that much control. Usually I can just shut it off if I don't like what's happening.

When I was a kid I used to do this a lot... sometimes even when I was awake. My imagination was really strong as a kid and I could literally picture things in front of me as though they were real. I remember doing it with a tv once, I pictured the tv in front of me and it seemed so real I could touch it. I remember though struggling because i wanted to watch a good programme but all I could picture was horse racing. Even when I 'turned over' it was still horse racing.

Now though, I don't dream anymore.

nah, cannibinoids reduce rapid eye movement which allows u to have clear dreams. smoking bud will make it harder to have lucid dreams.

I remember, it got easier with practise. I'd actually go to sleep intending to control my dream, actually physically enter it with my conscious mind and do whatever I liked.

i only had a lucid dream once but i've tried several times. i was in a room full of family and just suddenly knew: this is a dream(!), because everyone looked much younger then today. I tried to explain this to my cousin but he wouldn't believe me. then i woke up.

if there were pills to do that regularly, i'd take em!

i usually have them when my mind is wide awake but my body is exhausted. like when i get home from work or something. lay down for a sec, pass out instantly for about 20 minutes. thats when they occur. i used to have them in jail too, bc i was bored so i tried to do it all the time.

I 've had many a "flying dream", got up and peed, went back to bed and flew some more!

Have you ever dreamed you was awake, then woke up and you was a sleep?

Took out a book from the library once that tried to show you how to make them happen. I only pulled it off once. A flying dream of course....but it was something I'd never forget.

when i was a little kid, if i would pee in a dream then i would probably wet the bed. but as a grown up i can pee in my dreams all i want, and always wake up to a dry soft bed. as kids do we learn how to control our dreams subconsciously to avoid the wet bed effect?

One method I heard of contolling dreams was the ? method. Try this for a week and see what happens. Draw a ? on your hand in the morning with a black marker. Throughout the day day, whenever you notice the ? ask yourself, "am I awake, or am I dreaming?". By consciously recognizing the ? on your hand, sooner or later in a dream you will at your hand and ask, "am I awake or am I dreaming?" and as soon as you realize that you are dreaming control is yours.

Method 2: Take the stop smoking drug Chantix. I have been a smoker for 18 years and recently started taking this drug to help ease the urge. Now I am 5 weeks cigarette free, and have had continous lucid dreaming throughout. From what I understand, many other are expeirencing the same "side effect".

I found out abotu this from the cartoon "Doug" when i was younger. he was having a reoccuring dream and eventually turned whatever was scaring him into a pickle. anyway I've had a good share of them. I don't consciously decide to do it before I sleep but if I'm dreaming and feel i can do it i will. the problem is sometimes I get too specific with what I'm trying to think or imagine and i wake myself up.
