Lucas Formula?!

Just purchased some nutes from Advanced Nutrients, they make a 3 part ( Micro, Grow, Bloom) regime. It is supposed to be identical to the GH system.
All the mixing seems difficult, and then I noticed on one of the bottles it gives the Lucas Formula ( 8ML micro/ 16 ML Bloom)....my questions is...
do I use the lucas formula for the ENTIRE GROW?
the other ratios all slowly increas the bloom and decrease the grow nutes as you go from veg into flower ( and transitiosns).....the lucas formula is so that you dont have to buy the grow nutes ( I already did) but like i said its a much easier 'recipe" so I would like to do it. let

Yes, pretty much. If you have a strain that is nute sensitive you can start it out w/ 5ml micro- 10 bloom for a while, then bump it up. I start my plants 8ml micro, 16ml bloom right from the get go. I'm doing a test run of AN's Jungle Juice right now. I'm in 6 weeks of flower and everything is going awesome. I'm also trying out the "10 on, 14 off" light schedule. I am impressed so far. Everything is extremely lush, my yield looks to be on schedule, and I may finish a little early.

I been using the Lucas ratio for a few years, an I gotta tell ya, "it's the shit". It's the only way to fly.

Yeah the Lucas formula works for the entire grow, but mixing isn't that much harder. I bought a syringe with mL marking on it from my local hydroponic store. Only cost me a couple of bucks and helps measure nutrients out to the exact mL that you need. You can also call Advanced Nutrients up. Their phone number is right on the side of the bottle. I did when I used their products just to hear what they had to say and their support team was awesome. I called and spoke to maybe about four different people. I got good help and never was on hold for more then a minute.

5/10 micro/bloom is for lights under 400 watts and 8/16 m/b is for lights (hid) above 4oo watts.
Use the ratio entire grow (except seedlings/fresh clones) and you will be happy w/results.
I did the GH flora no probs. Now I do Lucas Maxibloom...Easy as Bakery bought pie.

I heard 5/10 was for the veg stage and then when it was time time to flower, you boost the nutes up to 8/16. IDK, just something I read.

Just to be absolutely clear, Advanced Nutrients makes a 3 part nutrient called "Jungle Juice" that has a Grow, Micro, and Bloom bottle that is basically reverse-engineered from the GH Flora series.

The ALSO make a 3 part nutrient that's simply called "Grow, Micro, and Bloom" that is a more advanced product and includes their new pH Perfect technology. A bit confusing if you ask me, but it is what it is. It sounds like you're talking about Jungle Juice here. Really it doesn't make much difference either way since the advice would be roughly the same (you just have to watch your pH with the Jungle Juice where you don't with the GMB.)

You can use the Lucas formula but if I were in your shoes I wouldn't, simply because if I had all three bottles already I'd just use them all so I wouldn't waste them.
That's me. If you really want to do the Lucas formula don't let me tell you different, I'm just offering advice on what I'd do.

Good luck!

I’m also in the same boat purchased all 3 from ADvanced and I’m looking into growing in a High pressure aeroponic system not sure if I should just do away with the grow part or not ? I’m looking for something that will keep my nute solution clean because just so I don’t have too many issues with clogging nozels I do have pre filters but just looking into what’s best I would rather learn and not make my own mistakes lol so if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears ! Thank you

Ok well... I didn’t take that in lol
I’m starting my seeds right now I’m going to experiment with the 3 part jungle since I already purchased it . I will definitely look into the 2 part you suggested from GH thank you for responding so fast on a 9 year old thread :)

i'm halfway thru flowering running Jack's RO 12-4-16 from start to finish. and well water. nothing else. looks really good to me so far. if either of you guys have heard of Fatman, the 3-1-4 was his flowering formula.

Bringing this old thread back to life once again!!!
Just curious what you guys are using with your HPA system and what you like best? I have tried several and finally found my salvation. Just wondering if you guys wouldn’t mind posting what you use with HPA only please, that’s what I use, and what mixture/recipe makes your sweet spot? I’d like to hear some of you guys share for knowledge then I’d like to share mine as well. Do you use drain to waste or recirculating system? Do you notice after the first few weeks of flower the leaf edges start to discolor almost as if a potassium deficiency? I notice this only with HPA systems. Anyways very curious to hear about your nutrients and success! Happy growing

GH Flora Nova was supposed to be Lucas formula in 1 bottle. I've been using it instead of Micro/Bloom from Trio set. 4 ML gal in veg and closer to 6 ML per gal in flower with coco.
