LSTing

Just did my first LST. Hope I did it right. Shes on about the 4th or 5th node and I looped a string around the main stalk and tied it one of the holes in the grow bag. Now do I leave it this way for a certain ammount of time and then tie it down the other way. Or should I start tying the branches? Guess pics would help. Ill have them up tonight

Leave it and start tying the branches as they grow also, then as the main grows up tie it down more.. Keep tying everything down to maintain an even height. At first your plant will look flattened but after a couple weeks you'll run out of room to tie down, then you can let them all start growing up.

I veg for 4 weeks and get nice bushes.

Just make sure you use a loose loop around the stalks otherwise as they grow thicker if you have a tight rope around it it will choke them.. kinf of like leaving a small collar on a puppy. They out grow them fast

So basically tie almost everything down all the way around the pot including the branches and main stalk? I looked for a how-to on you tube but just found a lame how-to-LST with tape lol

Also I was wondering if you can LST during early flowering? I've got 2 girls that got really big during veg and some of the bottom nodes are going to have trouble getting light. Was thinking this might increase yield

Thanks!

You can continue to tie down up until harvest if you want, but as the plant gets bigger the branches will snap easier. but yes you want to tie down all of the branches too.

There usually comes a point where you know it's time to let it go from there on and finish lol.
