Lst question!

Wats up everybody, I started LSTing my plant yesterday and it's looking great so far , everything is getting nice and even and bushy!! But my question is could I take off some of the fan leaves at the bottom that aren't getting any light and almost touching the soil without stunting it too bad?? Some feed back would be greatly appreciated!!

It's 18 days old since it sprouted from the dirt . Using ffof for soil and using cfls at the moment ...

Just leave them on until they fall off themselves. If they're not getting enough light, the plant will cannibalize those leaves and send the nutrients where they can be put to better use. Those lower leaves also happen to be the power plants for your first branches.

I chop off what I don't want right away, but it would not hurt a thing to leave em... you will also get a lot of tiny branches, I suppose strain dependent ull have to clip.
I love lst. Shape them babies to fill your room, no light to the floor! You can make ur girls any shape ud like now. I make mine square or rectangle wen viewed from above.

I grow gorilla glue 4, which is notoriously weak in terms of stem structure. When I go to flower I put scrog net over em so they stretch up into it, this giving then support.

Lst is great technique and useful in many ways. Make sure if u want true lst, to get two mains that u get her bent at least 90 degrees. This forces hormonal change, robbing ur apical tip of its dominance, then other branches will catch up sometime and such

Just thought I'd share the progress on my plant! It's day 32 veg and I'll be switching to 12/12 this Sunday ! Still don't know if it's a male or female but I'm already getting some preflowers that like those of a girl but I'm not 100% sure because they are still small even to take a picture of it ..
