Well my tent came with this optional piece you put in the bottom of the tent that is the same size and has the same reflective material on it, so you don't have to worry about a mess. But what I am wondering is if there is not a problem with water pooling at the bottom of your grow area (even if it isn't very deep) and this standing water causing any kind of problems. For ex: the bottom of your pot cannot drain can that be problematic (i water in the tub wait a few minutes and lean the pots every which way to drip out as much as I can), could the sitting water raise the humidity much or provide a breeding ground for bugs or mold, etc. etc. stuff like that.

Are any of those possible concerns? Or is it not a problem as long as you have a reasonable idea of how much to water your plants before it starts to drain out the bottom?

Haha the piece has sides and velcro bits so you can secure it to the tent poles, come to think of it I could probably get away with filling it up with dirt! The dimensions are 2'7" x 2'7" x 6"(6 inches deep)
You guys think that is enough dirt to grow some plants in?
Wouldn't that be a funny experiment?

If you use drip trays (like these http://www.bghydro.com/BGH/itemdesc.asp?ic=TR2X2AA&eq=&Tp=) then the sitting water is not a problem. It evaporates before you know it and I'm always looking for more humidity, because of the constant exhaust with my tent i battle raise the humidity to where I want it. I get what you saying about just letting it run straight into your tent but because the water will ultimately end up in the grooves for the legs and under that flap you mentioned (I got one too but chose not to use it) it might not evaporate so fast and invite (most likely) green algae.

6 inches to grow in, yeah they'll survive. Just don't expect to get much smoke off them. Get yourself a big old massive pot and you can grow some massive buds:mrgreen:
