The advantage of LST is that you create more branches for buds to grow as opposed to one main branch.

Since when you use cfls you have to get close to the plants, LST allows you to increase quantity.

Not sure about the quality

I agree with that, also you get a small space with less heat advantage.....unless you can spend some dough on a good ass setup...go cfl look at my results at around day 70 since sprout first cfl grow

I am a CFL grower and I find lsting really helps. When the canopy from my plants is even it really helps when trying to keep those cfls as low as possible.

I have a grow going with both sativa and indica dominate plants and that would not be possible without lsting. I can keep my sativas around the same height as my other plants with lsting and keep my lights within a few inches.

Lsting has been very good to me :)

Sorry guys, I'm to lazy to look it up this morning... what does LST stand for? Any links to this technique?

(I use CFLs in veg and use some in flower to supplement my HPS.)

Low stress training. tying or bending of the plants branches/stem to change its regular growth pattern. Some examples if you follow my link.

lst is a great technique no matter the light source. Here's a pic of one of mine grown under a 600 hps.:weed:

I agree McLovin420, lsting is great regardless of light source. I will be upgrading to HPS as soon as I can resolve the heat issues that are sure to happen.

Lsting is especially usefull in smaller grow areas for obvious reasons. There is no way I could consider growing sativas in my grow space without lsting or fim.
