My experience with autos is that they are crap. I ordered 30 seeds and the germ rate was terrible. The ones that did germ were sickly. I had a good male:female ratio but in the end I ended up with 6 plants.
All of the plants but one showed sex after 12 days from seed. It's been 8 weeks now and the one still hasn't entered flower. I just put it aside figuring it would die without care, but it's still looking great, so I guess i'll flower it the traditional way once the others are finished.
The plants that made it are looking good. They grew quite a bit and the bud is nice and smelly, however so far it isn't anything special. I've grown bag seed that looked better at this point.
I think most seed banks are a bit deceptive when marketing autos. When they say 8 weeks from seed, that means under optimal conditions. When they say "auto diesel" they jus means some diesel genetics are mixed in, doesnt mean they are as potent as traditional strands.
I like that greenhouse company are honest about their autos. Theirs finish in 6 weeks and they say up front that the potency is mild at best.
