That's wzup!! Make sure you keep a grow journal, so I can peek in on your babies every now and then! My grow was put on MAJOR hold, due to my girl's moms having to come stay with us, but I'm about to be up and runnin', cuz she'll be rollin' the hell out in a couple weeks. Definitely gonna post up a grow journal cuz it will be my first. Until then, I'm doing plenty of reading and question asking. Holla back!!

hey bandite. another question about AF's. I know that you don;t nuke them but I also read that you don't pinch the tops off either. Have you heard about this one? any feedback?

I got lr2 from dr chronic had horrible germ rate. had a couple sprout then die. This is little sweet. I figured hell Ill leave the system go after bout a week the leaves were all gone little stem brown with the smallest of green spot. I let it grow another week and this is her 1 week into flowering. Dont think you should pinch them but if it happens I think this would happen 2nd pic shows it puts a bulb on a pole lol

Hey bandit,

I just got some auto AK's and NYCDeiselryders, so I am interested in autoflowers as well. It seems like you've been doing your research, and I am trying to keep up to date on mine as well.

I just wanted to comment that there is really no need to go through three grows before you start employing nutes; I mean, that really is thorough, but not entirely necessary.

Also, while LRs may need less nutes than other strains, they will need some; plant life just can't be sustained without any at all, at least from my experience.

All in all, though, do what you think is best.

Nah, haven't heard anything about not pinching the tops off, but now that you've mentioned it, I'm gonna make sure to start looking into that. If I get any info on the subject, I'll hit you up.

I agree. I'm sure they'll need some, but just not that much. I just wanna see what works best for me, so I'm gonna do three grows, and compare yield results, and the amount of resin. I saw another dudes plants, also LR's, and he didn't use nutes until the 5th week, and his plants looked like monsters!! He also said he used that although he used nutes for the last four weeks, he went real lite with them. My first grow will be without nutes, second will be nutes all the way through, although using very little, and the third grow I'll start using nutes around the 5th or 6th week and see which crop yields the best all around smoke. It's probably not necessary, but I just like to be thorough. If you find any new info on LR's that improves the quality of smoke, let me know wzup! I'm never to proud to take someone's advice, as long as they know what they're talkin' about.

Bought 10 Lowryder#2 seeds from the joint doctor. 7 out of 10 sprouted all of which have gone male except for 3. One of those is starting to flower at 5 weeks and is only 12 cm tall. The other two I started about 1 week later and are still waiting for them to show me a pre flower. can anybody tell me how much more growth I can expect now it's into flower. Anybody grown this strain outdoor before? Unless I get one decent sized cola off of the girl. All in all a bad ratio of male to female and a waste of time growing this strain outside. They just don't grow enough to get a descent amount of bud or so it seems. IMO definitely a novelty strain. If I was going to buy these again I will be getting feminized seeds the regular are a waste of cash IMO. However sweetsmoker yours look great and seem to have fruited you some nice bud.

I started four LRIIs about 3-4 weeks ago with the intent of sticking them outside since I was leaving town. But the trip was canceled so I am now free to get growing proper. two weks ago I started 5 Blue moonshine, 3 Skunk #1, and three White Russian. Now I have everything growing, the LRs are a few weeks older than my others which are just seedlings now.

My plan is to veg at 24/0 for a few more weeks then go 12/12 which I know is not the best for LRs but now they are just along for the ride.

Anyhoo my 4 LR seeds sprouted in about 24hrs, and now at the 3/4 week mark they are about 7" and covered in little baby buds, and man do they stink!! I had to chop two males, but they are growing great in the jiffy seed starter medium, with FF nutes. I will be transplanting to 2 gal perfect pots this weekend and using FF OF so hopefully they will carry on and adapt well to the 12/12 under my 400w, otherwise they will just get pulled.

We will see I guess. I will try and post up a journal, but I am kind of paranoid about posting pics just yet.

I think you're gonna want to give the LR's at least an 18/6 cycle, because if you drop to 12/12, you might be doing your plants an injustice. Just a suggestion, cuz I ain't into tellin' anyone how to raise their kids! LOL

I think I am currently growing LR2 outdoors and its small, Stinky and sticky. It was bagseed and it looks good, but this is my first grow so I could be wrong.

I know this is kind of an old subject but here is a link to the official Lowryder grow guide written by the man that created the strain. I follow this pretty closely and have had good results. The only thing I do different is flush at week 4, and at the end. Good luck to all, and happy growing.
