Lowering the heat in my 5'x5' tent

Hello all, just got my first tent set up and ran a bit of a test run. The tent is indoors, and in addition to central air I have a 10,000 BTU window unit in the room my tent is in. I'm only running a 400w MH/HPS light at the moment. I Have a few fans inside the tent currently, including a 6" clip fan that's clipped on to my reflector, blowing directly onto my light. Anyways, I fired everything up and let it go for a few hours so I could get a decent idea of what kind of conditions my girls would be dealing with. The temp is capping off at about 86 degrees Fahrenheit right now, I've read that that's not a terrible temp to have, but it's also not ideal. I would much rather be running in the mid 70's with an ideal canopy temperature around 80. I'm looking at upgrading to an air cooled reflector, and running a 440 cfm fan to filter and cool the light. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much difference I could expect to see by making these changes. I will most likely buy and install my fan and filter first, and then later on get my air cooled reflector. I'd love to get them at the same time, but my money tree is only in its second week of veg so I may have to wait Any insight, or other solutions would be very much appreciated, thanks!

That fan and filter should allow you to dial them Temps in.

I have my Temps at 79 lights on

Do you have all the intake flaps/ports open? If you have an ac in the room you could crank that up to lower the ambient temp in the room, which would lower temps in the tent, but getting a fan and hood you could bring it down significantly. I ran a 400w in a 4x4 with a hood and same cfm fan kept my temps at 75ish depending

Or run you light at night or during the cooler hours of the day

I haven't started a grow yet, just have plenty of seeds. Going on a vacation soon so I'm waiting to germ until I get back.

That's what I'm doing running my light at night. I love it for the temps. But limits the time I spend with my ladies. Lol

I'll be doing a Skywalker OG and Sour diesel to start. Not sure how many plants I feel comfortable with in that space with that light yet..

This will be my first soil grow, my first grow was a DWC setup but I'm crossing over to the super soil spectrum. I lived in Colorado for a while and got really spoiled on smoking great herb so I'm going to do my best to replicate those kind of results. My care giver over there used nothing but organic soil. This is only my second grow though, and I'm taking a lot of extra steps and paying a lot more attention to detail, so it sure feels like my first.

I wouldn't do more than 5 plants max with that light in your space. Personally I'd only do 3, maybe 4, plants because you're on the low side of what you want to be at for watts per sqft. If you do too many plants tho your buds will be fluffy & not what you're looking for

Also I'd open all port holes if you can, the more places you have for hot air to exhaust the better
