Low night temp/higher wattage or ideal temp/low wattage

I have a small grow room that's getting its intake from another room, due to cooler temps tuats the rooms are in, and I vent the 2nd room outside. The problem is that it's a 600w hps and I have to dim it down to 450w(75%) so it's not too hot, like over 85f. And the night temp is at 66-68f
I want to set it up to have its separate intake and outtake, and I know I would e able to get it to 600w without getting over 82f. But if I do that my night temp is going to drop to 58f.

What is better, ideal temps and lower wattage, or higher wattage and lower night temp?
I'm in 12/12 by the way.

Enviroment control is key. So a more balanced temp gets my vote.experiment with different exhaust set ups and design. You can set j take fans OK now timers to bring cool air when you need it, and turn off at night when it's cool. Etc.

Would be nice if you could run lights on at night to pull in some of that cool air to keep temps ideal 24/7.

Is that doable for you?

I was thinking the same thing. But its not doable.one of my rooms have a few intakes and if I would be working in my other room their would be mad light leaking through the vents. I can't build light traps for the intakes because one is just a rectangular opening, not ducting.
I. Trying to get as much wattage as possible, but I could deal with 450w I guess. I'm used to working with 1000 watts. Think a 450w output would be good enough for a decent yield?

I use a 400W hps and I can't complain while running 2 large plants or 4 small ones.

How many are you planning on running?

82 is still too high. You need your day temp ideally at 75 or so and at least always below eighty without co2. Your weak link is in the fact that you are venting your hot air into the room your intake is coming from. My guess without adequate fans also. Some key necessities IF you continue to run this way your intake between rooms need to be near the ground, your exhaust to the outside needs to be near the ceiling, you need to be moving enough hot air out and have a good fan for that.. Otherwise switching to lights on at night is a good option for you. I would probably change my set up personally and get intake air from somewhere else or simply remove the intake and just move air and exhaust it this will pull air from everywhere but your exhaust room. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you are flowering in high temps you're going to get a bad final product

Daytime temps are actually 79-80, and 82 being max.
The only other option to me, that's feesablemis pulling the air from a adjacent room (not a grow room) and the air would be coming in at 58f and keeping it sustained there. iS 58 too low? For 12hrs a day

Yes pull the air from the third room that is not your exhaust room and your day temps may be back to ideal at 75. During flower, the plants will benefit from a fifteen degree drop in night temps, releases flowering hormones if I remember correctly. I would not prefer my night temp to go below 50. I'd say that is when you will start seeing growth slow down a bit. The plant will not be harmed unless the temperature drops to near freezing. Forties are surely not good. Ideal night temp for flowering is 60 give or take a few 65 is fine.

58 with lights off is fine. My lights on time is usually around there with highs into the low 60s. They go down into the low 40s at night. Just make sure that it's not too humid in there when it's lights out and you'll be fine.
