I got 7 or 8 left to transplant then my main ladies are set til it’s time to transplant into bigger containers, everything has been topped so far, now I’ve just been workin in my garden area clearing brush and emptying bags so far the 5 400gal bags have been the most backbreaking having to empty and move them to a different spot and then refilling them, but the soil seems way better this year in em

I’ve found it helps the microbes in the soil
Your stack resembles mine,I use the blue bag M/Grow,Coast of Maine,Fox Farm,Pro Mix,Bio-Char,and amendments, for clones I add Perlite/Vermiculite and some Azos innoculant mixed and moistened around roots if they come out of EZ-cloner or plugs.Cost more$$$ than people would think.

It’s crazy how expensive everything has gotten lately! And sadly I’m nowhere near done getting soil/s

soil is by far my largest expense. I keep saying I am going to get into composting in a serious way and there are some absolutely KILLER threads on this forum on that but have not really gotten serious yet on it.

I find myself adding to the soil on a year round basis. Making a new planting area and I cleaned out my bait freezer and tossed that in the base.
Adding chicken shit to various other parts of garden. I add all my clam shells and regularly add lobster, crab and clam shells from Neptune.
Will probably put 30 bags of composted manure to the garden.

I need to get into composting myself cause yeah the price of shit is stupid, 1 of my 400 gal bags composted down into some real soil I haven’t checked the other ones yet but the bag was full of worms and all that good stuff, but yea I still got a good bit of soil I need to buy lol

Come late June,I have to grab another stack for clones, when I was a neophyte in the 80's I sowed directly into the garden area and where A chicken coop resided, bag weed seed OVERHEAD 00.00,STILL produced reasonable bud,it was considered a "tough plant" a weed not a picky, finicky, prized orchid or prize cultivar, all this attention certainly produces better but how much better than if we filled a pot w/garden bed soil ad and bag of manure. When doling out $$$$ sometimes that crosses my mind.
