Switch to areoponic set up you just hear a slight trickle once every 5minutes. I hated DWC/RDWC because of that bunch of loud air pumps blowing hot air into my reservoir :p

i added a 6" of 1/2" tubing to the intake that helped some but not much. before mine melted down i was going to build a insulated box, with a fan to help cool it as well. cooling it will help some as well.

I'm just aerating water to remove chlorine and such, I'm a soul grower just figured the hydro guys would know about dampening pump sounds

1416391874527.jpg I had the same issues. Alot of what your hearing is the vibration resonating threw your house. A sound box will make it louder like a sub box. I'm a diesel mechanic had some time to make up a stand. I have suspended the pump with a hair tie from my wife zip tied . The rubber feet and the hair damper the vibrations. I also took some rubber plugs 1/4x1/4 in to the bottom of the stand. I'm sure if you walk around d your place you will be Abel to make somthing work and you will be amazed by how quite it can be. I run the larger 70 lpm and 110lpm pumps in my apartment can hardly hear them.

Like the guy above or you can make a very small wood/pvc frame and hang it with a few cheap dollar store bungee cords.
