I'm on a tight budget, like $250.
Ive been looking around and noticing that the prices can vary drastically.
I'm looking for a 600w HPS, i only plan on flowering with this.
In the past, Ive heard that digital ballasts are if-y..I dont know the reasoning behind this but it makes me wonder
Ive heard good things about HTG Supply but they dont tell you the prices on their website

Just looking for a good 600w thats not going to break the bank..any suggestions on where to look or anything else? much appreciated :peace:

BGHydro.com has the cheapest prices. Digital ballast cost a lot more money to do the same thing. If you buy cheap digi ballasts you will have problems with interference on phone lines, Lumatek is the only digi brand I would use.

That being said, dont waste your money on a Digi ballast. You dont need one, just get a regular old relliable magnetic ballasts, it will be way cheaper and work just as well.

Lots of great deals

Maybe you clicked and it caught onto a saved cookie or something. No prob dude :)

I always recommend htg because of their customer service and quick response. You can always find something cheaper but I lean towards their service and willingness to make the situation right.

Cool, I was considering buying the digital greenhouse one as well. The Lumatek one is my other options its a little more pricey but I hear it is a little more quality with the RF emission dampening.. Anyone have an opinion between the two?

I dont know about the greenhouse digis, but the Lumatek wont fuck your phone lines.

That would be great.

I hear a good way to test it out is to use a battery radio and test it at different distances from the ballast. 3 ft through 30 ft etc. The biggest time for rf interference would be when it first lights up. So listen on the radio during start up at different distances if you can.

When do you expect to have your ballast? I am really hoping these digital greenhouse ones will work out.. such a great price.

I mailed my money order on the 1st..I'm hoping it will show up sometime this week.

I don't have a battery radio. Does it have to use batteries? Anything else work to test it out?
Otherwise I will simply turn on my television and connect to the internet after I plug it in and hope as is well
