Hey All,
I'm a Newb and this is my first grow.
I have 2 strains:

1.) Nirvana -- Northern Bright Fem. (9-12Wks)
Pic 1 & 6

2.)Green House -- NL5 Haze Mist Fem. (11 Wks)
Pic 10 & 11

They are on Day 51 of Flowering.

In a 2'x4' closet with 2 fans and a 130cfm carbon exhaust thru the light. 430W HPS.
In 3 Gal pots with Sunshine mix #1, perlite, and some Blood Meal & MG Organic ferts mixed in the soil. I may have went overboard on the soil ferts?? might be too much Nitrogen. Feeding with BMO Nutes about once every week or 2. Trying to rotate between plain water and nutes.
Also started feeding Molasas a few weeks ago. I flushed both on 7-2-09 and run off PH was arround 6.5 on the NB and 6.10 on the NL5. I do have a water softener installed in the house, so not sure if that may play into this?

Room Temps about 80F and about 85ish under the light and dark its 65-70F. Humidity 50-60% plus or minus a little.

Here are some pics,
Let me know if you can help.

OMG!!! WATER SOFTENERS ARE THE WORSE THING YOU CAN HAVE!!!

use some bottled water, or a get a frsh source of water. Those water softeners are horrible for your plants. The miracle grow ain't helping either. Like you said the shit your feeding has wayyy to much N in it. It's most likely a vegging nutrient. Find a different source of nutes.

Yes,
I have done alot of learning on this grow. My soil mix is #1 and I'll have to reroute a water line before my softener. I know I've been feeding at a PH of 6 the best I can, but I did have a few feedings where I know the PH was arround 5, so I think this is when the spots started appearing. My runoff on the last feed was 6.05 on the one plant and I didn't check the other. Here are some more pics, let me know how there looking otherwise.

I watered tonight with 2 liters for each plant with 1/3 nutes and about 1-2 Tbsp's of Molasses for all 4 liters. Hopefully things stabilize. The NB only has about 10 days left?? I think, so I want to flush this weekend.

Thanks for your help guys.

Hi,
I would get my hands on sunshine mix #4.. I dont think it's to high in Nitrogen, maybe a little high when in flower.. Most people dont realize that having a stable (N) level does help significantly in bud development for marijuana. I have troubles understand how you have a run off of pH 5.0 off of one plant and not the other-is this so? Your soil will buffer your pH more alkaline because it's not aciditc when you buy mix #1. If you are droping down twently points than thats a MAJOR pH swing and something needs to be looked at other than whats being addressed. 6.4, 6.5 is a good pH :) Just do not know how you are flux that much.. Did you ever let your plants dry out to hard and than give them a Feed?

Sorry for the confusion, but I didn't test the runoff at a PH of 5, I screwed up and watered at a PH of 5 since my soil PH meter was saying between 7 & 8. Being a newb I figured this would help level off the soil PH. But I don't think my soil PH meter is working properly ($10 Piece of S*%T). I believe this is when my problem started. I have just started reading the runoff and the runoff seems OK ranging a PH of 6 to 6.75 when watering at a PH of 6 to 6.5. The last feeding I fed at a PH of 6.05ish and with only giving 2 litres I didn't get any runoff to measure. It does seem that the yellowing and spots has stopped or at least slowed down. and it only seems to be showing on the bigger fan leaves, not the leaves coming from the buds. They look healthy and green coming off the buds.
As far as letting them dry out I have never let them get too dry. I have been doing the weight test and the finger in the soil test for watering, so they have been slightly moist the entire time. Thanks for your insight and let me know if you have any more info for me. Thanks,

Well I reviewed by marijuana deficiency book and your leaves look fairly good since most def have a large overlap. The things that stand out is the dead spots that are not just on the leaf margin- now this brings some similarilty to Magnesum or Maganese. Both very easy fix. This is done by NPK application and a stable pH fix.... This allows for the Maganese to become available- Its most likey still their- BUT if you have an in balance of your NPK you can make the maganese un available in the soil- makeing it a differnt substance-I am not 100% sure what it called-I dont want to make a name up what I think it is.
I feel this is the problem.

Everything is looking much better. Deeper and darker green leaves. Buds seem to be growing a bit too. I guess I learned my first lesson of probably many. Thanks for your help. I can't wait till there done. I hope I don't screw up this part.
