Hello everyone,
I'm going to be starting my first grow within the next month or so or when my DWC tomato plant is done which should be end of November or early December. I've ordered Blue mystic seeds and am going to try my hand @ DWC marijuana. My tent is 3x3 and I'll be using T-5's (2'x 8 bulb) and may use additional CFL's if needed. My bucket is 5 gallon and have a 10" net pot. I have 2 small fans on the floor of the tent and one inline fan for the exhaust.
I've been thinking and reading everything I can about the up coming grow trying to avoid newbie problems. The first problem I thought of was, how do I change the water with my current set up while growing scrog. My solution was to elevate the bucket and put a drain in the bottom. I also believe I'm going to have to invest in a better exhaust fan with a carbon filter. I have the timers, fan control, temp/humidity gauge & PPM/PH meters. For the Scrog I was planning on building my own net holder out of PVC and buying a prefab net from the hydro store and fitting it to the PVC.
What I'm looking for is advice on anything I've missed or suggestions. I'm curious about the size of the bucket & net pot I should use and how many? Also I was wondering how many plants I should go with to fill my space while being manageable for a cannabis rookie. Thank you in advance.
