Hey guys just looking for a decently priced digital microscope. Just going to be using it for checking trichs. Dont need something super fancy just something that gets the job done. Looking to spend about $50bux if any one has any recomendations that would be great. Thanks!!

I just bought this one after reading several good reviews on this forum:

http://www.amazon.com/Carson-MM-200-Micromax-60X-100X-Microscope/dp/B000P8AUMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1309827779&sr=8-1

Bear in mind, I haven't even gotten it yet, so I can't give you a personal review, but I did do my research before buying, and this is the one everyone kept bringing up. They also have a 30-40x.
Hey man thanks for stopping by. This micro that you linked here I actually have. Works good you just have to cut a small piece of your bud off to use it. I am looking for one I can plug into my pc and see on the screen what is going on under the scope. Thanks again tho.

That one from Amazon is just like the one available from Radio Shack for about the same price. I had one of those. I found it difficult to get in close and focus at the same time.

Then I found ones like the one below on eBay. I bought one, and liked it so much I bought 10 more. I have given out a couple as gifts. The are really inexpensive and work better than the other one. The best part is no need to focus. You can push the scope in and out to focus if you want, but I find it is much easier to just push the scope into the bud and focus by moving it around and in/out. It's like moving through a forest of trichs, awesome. Buy this, you will not regret it. Get more than one, they're cheap enough.

Just search for microscope 60x on eBay. You'll find tons of them under $10 including shipping. That's why I bought a bunch.

I have the 60x-100x black scope and it works great, got it for 12 bucks. Shows the same shit as the expensive ones. My buddy has the expensive one and its not that much better. but it's all up to what ya want to spend.

good luck to you:-)

Hey guys. Just to let you all know I have the small hand held black one. It let's me see every thing I need to see. Perfect for inspecting Trichs and what not. What I am looking for is a digital one that can hook up to my PC. I am sure I can find it on eBay like the one guy said. If any one else has another one I am all ears. I just want to be able to share my close up pics with all u RIU members.!!!!!

Ya it's a nice one the only draw back I see is that you can't really just look at the plant like some of the others. You'll need to take a sample on that one I believe. This was my alternative, a bit more expensive but also more versatile. http://www.amazon.com/GSI-High-Definition-Scientific-Microscopic-Industrial-/dp/B004OYO5O0/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1309895207&sr=8-8
Damn, even better! And the price is really not that bad for what it does. I'd gladly pay the extra. Thanks for doing all the research for something I didn't even know I wanted! lol
