THE Bank - 92 OG is pretty spot on to what I was searching for on my quest for that OG of 25 years ago. Heavy yield (capacitive to over OG’s), good size buds and that peppery / spicy taste and aroma you’d expect from that old school cut of OG. It is however not an old school cut, it’s been bred by The Bank and used in a lot of their lines.

if you can find the SFV it’s no slouch either. I currently run 4 Kushes, I wouldn’t say they’re all“OG’s”. Topanga Canyon Pure Kush, SFV OG, 92 OG and La Pure Kush (this one does not resemble OG in taste or smell).
AGseeds has a SFV OG he claims is the old school stuff. I plan on giving that a try in the not too distant future and see what i can come up with. You think McCormick has the real deal or is it horseshit?

Sensis aint a landrace now regardess who claims so its been in mans influence and under too much selective pressure to be so its a heirloom now man and yeah i figured was og types u after hope it helps man the trick with landrace kush is give em less water and less nutrients vs modern stuff also grow em in seedling compost like you use for veg not the nutrient rich grow mixes that we use mostly these days for weed obviously potency will vary as they barely selected for it as its used for hash stuff not ganja so hunting is needed that way too where as heirlooms as there more worked will be way easier to find higher potency plants in less numbers true landrace almost always needs hunting through more
Id love to find me a a beautiful landrace/heirloom specimen to breed with.

He might, I grew his NL 2 & 5 and his Skunk 1 but you have to mine the genetics. The representation of our memorable strains is often a jackpot pheno or two. So you have to exert the effort to find them. That entails expanding it's genetics via open table pollination then running lots of them to find what their representative pheno types are then selectively breed or get jackpot lucky. Anyway that's my system I work and I'd rather be lucky than good!

Ok good cause I have alooot of his seeds. Im going to grow out a bunch of the OGs and Kushes and find those few that I love and then see what happens if i hit it with a super stinky skunk male, that should be quite the loudspeaker to say the least.

How did those 3 strains grow for you? Did you find any phenos that were awesome? How was the skunk 1 was it fruity or stanky?

I personally found them meh and haven't circled back. I had a Bros Grimm table to search through and a Mr.Nice SSH and Greenhouse SSH too. After I pull my Cannarado White Papaya table next up is a Gelato survey table. After that I'm considering DG's SSH to compare to Mr.Nice's. I've been running a lot of survey tables. Deciding whose genetics I want to expand and hunt down the line on. So far Mr.Nice's made the cut and I've expanded them. I'm excited about my Cannarado White Papaya.

What would you say the main terp in it was? Was it lemony? Ive grown a kosher kush many years ago but I dont remember where it was from and it was straight lemon with a little funk to it.
I don't remember any lemon at all. It was kind of a funky, menthaliness, but really I struggle with describing "funky" flavors and smells. I grew an amazing white widow for 4 years that had a weird funk that I could never really describe, but it wasn't any sort of typical terps many strains have.

Thats sweet, I love your method. Have you ever grown Mr Nice Shit? I have 3 packs I bought many years ago I want to play with but I read so many bad reviews on shit and only a few good ones? Is Mr Nice still making seeds or is he dead now so whatver is around is the last of it?

Thank you. Thats perfect cause Ive had enough citrus terps to last me a lifetime. Im over the lemon pine sol cleaner flavor. I like that acrid, hashy, skunky, garlic onion flavor and it also seems to give me a more well rounded high than lemon or fruity terps.

I just checked the Sin City site, and it looks like they called the cross "Sin's OG". I only got one plant of that pheno out of 10, but that was back in 2013ish so they might have worked it more by now. Either way it was the most OG flavor I've ever tasted.

They also have a cross called "platinum delight" that I ran as a tester which is the absolute best "cookies" genetics I've ever experienced. I ran that for 5 years after I found it. Unlike most "cookies" it was actually potent. At the time I didn't even know what "real cookies" was supposed to taste like. But after sharing it with several people and having them tell me it was the best "cookies" they'd ever had I realized the intense flavor and smell my keeper pheno had was apparently "cookies". Then after smoking other people's "cookies" I was blown away by how much better the platinum delight was.

I've only grown his SSH. It was the best SSH so far. You should try it and see how it does for you.

Mr nice seeds still makes seeds....but realize their strains are mostly F1's/F2 seeds; with a LOT of pheno variations....they give 17+ seeds per pack for this reason - they are packs that require hunting to find what you're looking for.

That being said; when you find the right pheno; it's most likely something you'll keep around for years.

Thank you. I didnt realize they are F1 F2s I thought maybe they were more worked than that but it makes sense. I love F1s and knowing that these are mostly F1s I will probably run a few packs of his gear for a breeding project. Do you know if he sells his originals he breeds with or just his crosses. Id love to try his NL5 side by side with McCormicks from AG.

From what I know; just the crosses.

I've always been a huge fan of Mr. Nice seeds....but never got to run their work because they're overseas and nobody here seems to have their stuff....and going direct seems like a pain in the ass and seems like it'll take forever just to receive anything.

There's way too many breeders that are more accessible these days; while unfortunately Mr. Nice seems to be stuck in the past.

I agree he should expand his offerings to other countries and make it more accessible but I havent had a problem with an overseas seed order getting to me ever that I can remember out of hundreds of orders so I dont mind ordering overseas if its something I want.
