Lookin for opinions

So i have some thoughts about my system im getting ready to build and would like your opinions on it. Sorry i dont have a pic or a diagram so please bear with me. So im up grading my whole setup pretty much moving into a 4x4 tent and starting a rdwc build. I will be keeping the control bucket out side the tent and and running 4 inside the tent. I will be running 2" drain with a 3/4" waterfall up top. Im wantting to keep the water pump outside of the control bucket but not sure if i will be able to and iam hoping to forgo the air pump all together with the water fall. I plan on using pvc pipe all the way around with all bulkheads not sure if i will glue it all together or not. Not sure what size pump to use but thinking of one i can turn up or down and atleast 1000 gph. So if you see anything im missing or need to add or subtract by all means let me know all advice is appreciated.

What type of nutrients and what sort of lighting will you use?
I am dwc, but from what I've read you need to make sure those seals are good. not sure what the best method is and you'll se a lot of back and forth on here, but it's worth a bit of research before leaking a few gallons.
Everything else sounds by-the-book so you have a good start I think

elevate everything a few inches and plumb yourself in a drain. i ran mine to the where the hot water heater had a floor drain. made life super easy.
invest in a chiller.
waterfalls yes, airstones no.
get ready to blow up your 4x4 with some big girls.

Like dude said elevate your setup. That helped me too. As far as your water pump on the outside, if you had the right pump you could. (Im assuming to dissipate heat.) It would have to be a non- submersible type with an in-flow and out-flow fitting. You really do need a chiller though. You want your nutrient solution to be 65 degrees Fahrenheit. That's going to be hard to achieve without one. The last way you want to break in a new system is by losing ur girls to root-rot. Just want to help. I know chillers are expensive. Almost essential for rdwc.

I am looking at chiller but if i move my set up to the basement then i wont need one which is my plan but i may keep it in my bedroom so thats y i did not include it. @rkymtnman what is the benefit of raising the totes off the floor? Is it more for draining purposes or is there something else that it helps with?

i located my drains on the bottom of my totes so i had to raise them to do that. then the second benefit was adding a drain line. a 2x2x3/4 tee for the drain line. if not, you'll need a big wet/dry vac to empty out everything to do a proper res change. if you leave too much old nutes behind, then you might run into troubles.

For draining definitely, but in a tent you won't have much vertical "wiggle room" though. No biggie. If you are using leds, u will have a bit more room to play with. If you are a visual person like I am, start setting up equipment and experiment a bit b4 introducing your ladies. U can find several different assembly diagrams online too. I wish you luck
