Sweet praying mantis!!! I found one at a gas station and put in an empty cup a few days ago and brought it home to put in the garden. It has been in my garden for 3 days now, I hope it stays.

Yes he is a big one. A few years ago I brought one of those egg sacks and now they come back every year in my yard . Its amazing how fast they grow. I love watching them eat the bugs.

I had this huge one last year. I wouldn't put my finger near it, for fear I'd lose a chunk! The wires on this fence are 6" apart.

Yeah they get big this one I say is about 4 to 5 inches. They scare me sometimes when I water my plants they jump up they dont like getting wet

that's awesome! we have one that has been living in one of our plants since it was teeny tiny. once I found the remains of the skin it shed. up until then I didn't even know they shed their skin!

Do big praying mantis bite humans? I've always been afraid of them simply because they are big and aggressive with other insects. They are available online and I'm thinking about putting them on my plants.thanks.

that fucking thing is enormous, but they are by far my favorite insect lol. Still I'd be Leary of that beast too lol

It's a female also so once she eat's her mate....eeeew You should have baby's for next year!

We don't have them here, they look formidable to say the least.
Will they eat all MJ enemies, slugs, caterpillars, whitefly etc ?
What about spidermites, does the presence of the Mantis deter them?

was it a spider or praying mantis at the end of the old original THE FLY movie ? anyone got a six foot one I gots some folks I'd like to introduce. LOL aren't they also suppose to be good luck ?

Knock on wood I think so don't see to many bugs. It eats what ever it catches. I brought mine online like 5 years back and they come back every year.
