just wondering what the longest veg time ya'll have done... i remember someone telling me the longer you veg the more potent and larger yeild... so i took my time and got the plants the size i wanted and made sure they were full but a buddy asked me how long i vegged ... when i told him he said "you'll be lucky if you get anything smokable..."

so i was just wondering what ya'lls opinion is

Anywere between 4-6 weeks is best to veg for i let mines go for 6 depending on space and watt,s of course b4 ya,,s all go of on 1 lol

If u think u did the job long enough tell your m8 to mind his own

How long did u let the veg for btw ?
I think the plant grows a 3/1 of its size from start 2 finish flowering

I would prefer to let mine go for about 6 weeks, but I'm going on a cruise in December so I think I might cut it to 4 or 5 just so I can get the full amount of time for flowering.

Basically the longer you veg the bigger it gets simple as that really,as far as i know a plant kept in veg will never die unless it gets ill or something bad is done to it,it will just keep on vegging forever until it is flowered:leaf:

Your going to needs lots of watts for the light to reach the lower part of the plant if you have the watts to do this do it as long as ya fancy if not, like u only have a 400w the lights only going to be giving energy to the top and the bottem will be getting nothing

I read in softsecrets i think that this bonzi style plant was vegged for 10 years ... id to read it again to believe it myself lol

longest i ever vegged was 2 months with widow simply because i wanted a big yeild.from my experience veg time has nothing to do with potency.proper tempertures and feeding and an all around stress free envirement do as well as genetics...Good Luck,DTRave420

Years ago i had one plant as a general house plant for over 2 years, just trimming it just like any other plant, when i flowered it the only noticeable difference was that i used a 70w sodium on it to start flowering, and the buds went massive, nice plant, good times

I thought it was bad to clone a clone. Replicative failure or some such mumbo jumbo.
Sort of, but a few generations isn't noticable. After the 4th-6th generation, depending on strain, it should be thrown out.

You have to use a clone as your mother, trust me. All that cutting and re-working and stress would make it go hermie otherwise.

And greenbud1, he means taking a clone, then cloning from it's clones, and new clones off the new clones....Kinda hard to explain, but get my drift? You can take clones from a plant for ever, until it dies, giving you the exact same smoke each time.

P.S.- The longest veg time ever recorded is somewhere around 23 years. Gotta love those mums in Amsterdam.
