Whats up RIU, Been away for a few years back again. Had a blast last grow and am finally in a space where I can do it again. New location all new gear. Take a seat and enjoy the show! looking forward to sharing and checking everyone else's stuff as well.

To the nuts and bolts. Everything has arrived besides the beans. Bought everything from the rainforest all in bundles decided to go cheaper this time, last grow costs spiraled out of control with constant upgrading lol. Got a 600watt setup air cooled hood, electronic dimmable ballast and MH and HPS bulbs. Got a 440cfm fan/filter combo with a variable speed timer. 4x4x7 tent. Going to be soil grow with happy frog and fox farms nutes trio as well. Beans will hopefully arrive this coming week and I can get everything growing, got advanced seeds feminized kit #2 which is: 2x Critical, 2x Ice Kush, 2x Somango Widow plus some freebies. Going to plant them all and see what pops. Well thats about it for right now, stay tuned and once seeds arrive I'll be updating regularly. 20150707_162545.jpg20150711_124308.jpg

Beans arrived today so that sent me into assembly mode. Got them germing on the cable box. they messed up my order so as of right now have 2 fems and 8 autos going, see what germs, kinda bummed about the autos though, really wanted 3-4 big bushes in the tent this time around. Got the tent up and the light and ballast rough mounted, gotta clean everything up and finish putting it together tomorrow.
Feel free to chime in peeps, wouldn't mind any advice on the Autos anyway. Do I need to repot them or can I just throw them in a big bag/bucket? What is the usual bucket size for em 3 gal? 5? Thanks

take the ballast out of the grow tent and wire it through the holes or cut a lil hole on the side or corner or wherever you feel comftable running most of your wires to a surge protector other then that ducting and tubing will complete the setup looking good

put the autos as soon as they pop into the final pot i usually do 5 gals but dependingo n how many your running in your tent is your call but in the end theyll be babushka's if you do more then 5 and i always seem to say the less the more cuz the light is spread out through more plants.... but autos go in final pot, anything else 2/3 gal will be fine to start and transfer later if you need to

Finished up the main parts of the tent today. Got the fan hung and ran the ducting to the filter and out the tent. Wired everything up and ran everything full bore for an hour to see if I had any circuit breaker problems. I'm under 15amps but my place was built a while back so who knows what kind of wiring it has. Just some housekeeping type stuff left before the fun part starts. Had to baptize the tent and send a sacrificial offering to the bud gods to bless my harvest. Checking the seeds in a few hours to see if we have any fast germers. Stay tuned20150718_124054.jpg20150718_124100.jpg20150718_130909.jpg20150718_132141.jpg

less bends in the ducting you want direct lineage , line lol ( turn the filter loosen the clamps and turn the ducting so you can raise and drop the light and theres no bends but the less bends the better flow, and take the ballast out and reqire your setups but other then that you should be good

Yeah if I have a problem with high temps or smell that's what I am going to have to do but I'm hoping not because I'm lazy as fuck hahaha. Its a 440cfm fan, when I turn the fan controller up all the way it sucks most of the bends out. I doubled the recommended cfm for my size tent plus I have central air so I'm hoping that keeps temps reasonable. I've come to the realization that I need a room to use, hanging shit in a tent is too haphazard it offends my ocd lol.

im down to watch, and see brotha! def gotta keep it green

i just always wire my tent or poke a hope big enough to run everything, the ballast will get out, run hot and eat hot air through the fan in there i just wanted that to be thrown out before you start running the system long hours and see burn out, heat prob, plant problem, alot of diff shit noone even wants to see for the cord they give you a little extra time goes a loong way

UPDATE 07/21 Got them all in the tent 5 popped up looking great (including my only two fem seeds fuck yeah!). Of the other five seeds Two mangy looking ones sprouted all sickly looking bent over with the shell still on probably not gonna make it. Other three got nothing yet oh well if nothing else comes up I'm happy. Temps are hovering around 80 with about 45% humidity atm. Just watered all of them for the first time since I planted.

UPDATE 7/24 Got seven plants up showing leaves, one stem with the shell on sprouted for days, and two no shows. Growth looks good, leaves that look rough are the ones that started off looking like bad so thats expected. Small pots were dry, So I gave them they're first real solid watering, others have just been couple tblspn's. I'm ready to crank this light up soon and put these bitches to work20150724_064757.jpg

07/31 Hope everyone is doing good on this fine friday. Got all but one plant into they're final pots. Did a test on what temps would be like at full 600 watts and then promptly fell asleep and forgot about until the next morning. Had my thermometer on top of the light it was reading 91 I can only imagine what the plant height temps were lol opps. Ended up frying one plant pretty good but that spurred me into running out and picking up the Portable A/C and now shes at 78 degrees running full bore (Hopefully still dropping) so I'm happy about that at least. Heres the latest pics
