Long Term Storage, THC or THCA

I am considering pressing kief for long term storage (1-3 years). I have read (and it seems to make sense) that pressed kief keeps much longer than loose kief or jarred bud.

I plan on wrapping the pucks in parchment paper and plastic wrap and keeping in my freezer.

The question is, as I press, should I decarboxylate via heading in an oven (convert to THC), or cold press the THC acid? Which degrades less over time?

Thanks for the help. Google has not been my friend with this question.

If its truly for long term storage...throw it in etoh solution sealed up and blacked out
Yur grand babies could smoke it

Decarbing will happen overtime and should be viewed as degredation

being put in solution is best because it stops oxidation, though while in solution light is even bigger of a factor. Light is the arch enemy of thc, if your hash (not in solution) is stored in a dark and cool place, and sealed. I would expect it to last 2 years, after 4 years you can go ahead and toss it......for better info vacpurge reworked a link for me in the "iso" thread.in the c&e section..this topic has been discussed a few times... Its got graphs and multiple scenario's....in any case under best conditions thca was gone in 240 days and 2-4 years for thc depending on environment

Without light, cbd cbg and the more stable compounds won't degrade. Delta 9 will be converted to 8 after a while which is still psychoactive.. as long as its in the dark (in etoh)even at room temp thc was stable.. cooler conditions will make it last longer. It will eventually break down...after you die if stored properly
