Not enough light!!!

It's only 3 days old...be gentle with it...it needs NO food until it's cotyledons fall off, thus when it enters veg stage.

Put a gentle breeze on it to help strengthen up the stalk. It should be under at least 1 cfl @ 26W 6500K.

When you transplant it to a bigger pot just bury the stem that is long all the way down to the first set of leaves if you can.

Good luck:joint::mrgreen:

What light do you have? I would concider stretching bad, you want your plant as short and bushy as possible probably right? The nodes will be farther apart and that means your budsites, leaves, branches.. get your cfl about an 1-2inches away

Long lanky stems are never good. You want the plant bushy and thick.
Main causes of long lanky stems are poor lighting (plant "stretches" toward the light source) and poor circulation (indoor grows with no fan to replicate wind, the stems will be weak unless you give them a reason to strengthen). Think of it as weight lifting to build muscle, your body responds to the stress by building more muscle, well the plant responds to the wind by strengthening the stems.

your getting help from people who have obviously not seen a seedling before

its 3 days old, leave it alone! dont worry about it. your describing what a seedling looks like when its 3 days old! it will have two small leaves, 2" tall and really skinny

do some research man! all you need to see is one picture of someone elses seedling and you would not have started this thread

also, giving it nutes at that age will not solve problems. no nutes till 3-4 weeks old

I CERTAINLY hope you don't mean me kind sir.

no disrespect to anyone, i take it back

i just think he might be worrying to much, i mean if the plant was older you might have a problem but its just too young at this point. too many people on here over examine their plants and dont do enough research.

definitly stretching. learned the hard way myself. If using Flourescent put the light on a chain and start 2-3 feet above plants. Use the chain to raise the light during the grow.

Lol...thx. It's easy to keep plants short with a small amount of stress and keeping the lights very close...those pics are like 2 weeks ago or more...here's ones from today. The 2 to the far left are in day 9 of flowering and are clones of my mother plant (far right). 2nd from the right is on day 19 of flowering and is just flooding with trich's, smell's funky like a lemon skunk almost, but it's white rhino x god bud. The single plant is my mother.

They are also indica dominant which makes it naturally shorter and bushier. Getting the stems strong is just wind and keeping your soil moist.

I had a fan and my old male plant never got thick stems, you using a wind tunnel? lol. Box fan, foot and a half away from em.. low setting. Sort of a shitty fan i suppose though... I only water when needed. Also just growing back seed, I see you cut off many lower branches... why?

Here's how my setup goes. I have a fan sitting on top of my workshop lights blowing air out twords the open end of the closet and it also blows on the ballasts to keep them cool. The other fan below the lights just provides fresh airflow and a nice breeze for them...thankfully the way it works the bottom fan blows air in and up, an the top fan blows it out...perfect venetaltion.

Second pic is of the door closed. and then of it open.
