If thats your point, you are unfortunately badly mistaken.......The Watts riots in the 70's, the LA riots in the 90's, the unrest during the civil rights movement.......hell i grew up in a very small shithole of a city and we had a small riot in the 80's, made the cover on Newsweek i think it was..the difference is like Nodrama said, here there are ALOT of firearms and plenty of people willing to use them
This is always something i question. There are a shit load of firearms and there is always one purpose among others given, protecting from your governemnt, but noone ever seems to use them against the governemnt, just their family members at a drunken BBQ. For example i have rarely ever heard of a policeman having a gun pointed in his face because he was violating someones rights in the shopping center or whatever, yet the police are pointing guns at citizens every day for absolutely no reason.
And just to say, you do know the riopting is about someone siply being shot dead instead of being dealt with in a legal and appropriate manner. It's been happening an awful lot recently in the UK.. Police recently raided a famous music artists house, he somehow died..
Not trying to say there isn't police opression in the US, just saying that althogh there are not as many guns, there is just as much police brutality and oppression here.
