It's hard to understand what the reasoning is exactly, nothing being told just yet. Typical mainstream media coverage. I am very close to this so any more burning buildings is gonna affect me..

our news stations are more concerned with our credit rating. they show small clips of the riots but not really covering them.

Reasoning? Well among other things they shot a man dead without him even putting up a fight. The police story was that he shot at them so they shot abck and killed him. The issue being that the bullet lodged in the police radio they claimed he shot, which in return resulted in them shooting, well it was police issue, they nearly killed their officer, not him. It appears he never fired a shot and the gun wasn't even viable to be shot, in that it was inside a sock.

That's part of the issue, police murdering people without cause. I don't agree with the looting of shops, that's just sily, but fuck, yeah, burn the police to the ground! :) In the UK they are pretty much on the whole the Gestapo. You get some nice sensible once but it appears far too many tend to think they are soldiers not contained by law.

You're damned right though, we don't know how to riot and protest for shit, this should be an every day occurence for the bullshit they expect us to put up with.

BURN PIGGY BURN :fire::fire::fire:

The people in the UK don't quite have the oppressive police we have, and most people do not carry firearms. It is usually less costly to just let the mob burn itself out, fighting them only gives it more energy.

yeah I'm aware of the shooting but I had no idea whether it was the reasoning behing Hackney, Peckham, Brixton, Stratford and now Birmingham. This shows it is nationwide now. The shooting incident should by all means be an isolated incident which begs the question why Birmingham and was it an preplanned orchestrated event that we see unfolding in all these places? RTnews is reporting that a blackberry message went round today informing people of a gathering outside the Peckham police station. Seems more than meets the eye here...

Lol, live in the UK for a bit and say we don't have oppressive police :D We might not have guns but you'll find yourself in a cell for anything. If a policeman stops you on the side of the road for absolutely no reason for commiting no crime, you'll find yourself behind bars for the weekend if you don't tell him everything about yourself. Even if it's not legal. They think they can get away with absolutely anything these days.

Bull Shit. Americans never walk the talk. They just bitch from the peanut gallery.
Are you trying to say that Americans dont have riots?

If thats your point, you are unfortunately badly mistaken.......The Watts riots in the 70's, the LA riots in the 90's, the unrest during the civil rights movement.......hell i grew up in a very small shithole of a city and we had a small riot in the 80's, made the cover on Newsweek i think it was..the difference is like Nodrama said, here there are ALOT of firearms and plenty of people willing to use them

The cops here may not have guns but they have 24/7 surveillance and pick you up in the dead of night without a sound, it's a far worse scenario than you may think. But the protestors know that the cops are stretched and will struggle to contain this, watching it all fizzle eventually may be more costly in the long run.

American riots only mess up the neighborhoods that the rioters live in...UK riots fuck up more corporate areas and businesses

Ok, White America never walks the talk. I'll stand corrected.

Firearms. That is the part that I was refering to. The Right Wing Moto of "Second Amendment Remedies" are only carried out by the wackos they end up trying to distance themselves from when they do lash out. McVeigh, the Norway Killer and the AZ killer to name a few. But those are individual right wing fanatics, not a group of rioters.
