So I've grown masterkush, GDP, Og Kush now Chemdawg but I never ever have lollipoped my plants and I'm tired of the little popcorn buds I want fat fat colas. So today I trimmed all of the lower branches some almost as thick as my pinky finger and then I read if u trim too much the plant will hermie? Is this true? Cuz I feel like I butchered my plants.. I have 2 more weeks before flowering and I hope they will snap out of the lollipop shock. Has anyone ever else done what I've down and please tell me how it turned out. I can post pics of after lollipop if h want to see the before it's in another thread of mine called chemdawgx jack herer &. 707 headband

pics would be nice but i usually lollypop in the first few weeks in flower but it is definitely not good to do it all in one passing especially if the limbs are as thick as your pinky finger, if they where that thick you should have just cut all the nodes coming off each branch just leaving you with top colas on each branch. lollypopping doesn't necessarily mean eliminating a entire branch (if vegged for a extended period) but just eliminating parts of the plant that dont reach the canopy so i doubt the limbs you eliminated where that short just from you description of the shear girth of the branch but again pics would be nice.

I've in the past started lollipoppin the first week or two into flower when it starts stretching and you can start to see which ones are gonna make it to the canopy and which are gonna stay and scraggle around. Seems to work for me just fine.

Lolipop right around when you start to flower and keep them pretty short before you flip them. That way you can remove around the lower 1/3 of the branches/leaves of the plants and give them a little time to recover. They won't be as thick as your pinky then.

Hey man if u check out the STICKIED threads at the top of the Hydroponics section read all of AL B FUCTS threads he thouroghly explains the lollipopping process in great detail. He does his Lollipopping in the first 2-3 weeks of flower and that's when I would strongly reccomend u to do so as well.
I also grow DWC like u and have adapted most of AL'S techniques or at least tried to. To my DWC grow to the best of my ability.
Anyway. The reason id strongly reccomend u to wait to lollipop till the first few weeks of flower is simply this..
In DWC U WILL find a lot of the lower stalk shoots mature and try and grow into nice cola produceing sites that are well compared to even the top's of the plants. They will do well and you should give them a chance to grow. And start your lollipopping once u know which ones are gonna fail and u will find out very quickly in the first few weeks of flower once the STRETCH ENDS but u will know in the early weeks when the stretch begins..
I call it SELECTIVE lollipopping and u will be very happy u did. Just don't go chopping out the bottom one third of your plant especially in veg. Wait and lollipop like al says till u begin flowering.
Id hate to see u removeing stem sites that are going to end up being your highest yielders at harvest.
Hope this helps.

And by the way man. Grow looks awesome. Keep up the good work can't wait to see it out.

I personally wouldn't do anything else to the plants if it was me. Then maybe just maybe remove some of the lower brush when I got into flower and that would only be because they weren't getting any light. But wait. Let the rest of the stem sites develope first. The point of lollipopping is to allow the tops to grow more like an xmas tree so to speak. And the reason people lollipop is more or less to remove the small popcorn sites that don't get any light or produce much thus to make room for more plants to grow. Id leave them alone what u have now is sufficient for your grow. Let them do there thing now. Definetely don't remove your main tops that would defeat the purpose of lollipopping. U can always tie your tops over LST if u end up getting short on head room. Bro id strongly advise reading AL B FUCTS threads in the main hydro subforum. The main is an absoloute grow genius and he explains everything very clearly and definitley. Hope this helps man. I know its a lot of info but ur getting it. Good stuff.
