Hey folks, wanted to see if someone would be so kind as to design a logo for me. I am going to sponcer an MMA fighter that uses cannabis as medication for a disability he has, and want to put something classy up on the banner and t-shirts hes passing out. I dont think Ill find what I am looking for by searching local stores if ya know what I mean. If anyone could handle this for me, I would be very greatful. Its something that I need quickly and am taking a shot in the dark here, thanks for the consideration folks.

The premis is "quality of life", using cannabis to promote health and well being. I like black and white images, and have liked the "red cross" cross with half cannabis leaf design, and would like something similarly simple. blacknwhitecannabiscross.jpg

gonna be honest my illustration skills are not up to what would be needed. If it was more photo editing and montage-collage blending etc I could handle it..

I do have 2 graphic artist brothers and will see if they can send me something if they get some time.. one just had a baby... so thinking he may be out on it..

Gioua, much appreciated brother! Is it possible to make the two images one? Remove size down the leaf to almost the same size as the cross, and replicate the original image I posted? The leaf image is fine, the cross image is fine, the two as seperate images wont work however.

If you could line the top of the leafs dominant tip, up with the far left corner of the upper most part of the cross, and the stems base with the lower most left corner of the bottom of the cross, and then cut off the excess overlap on the cross side, I think that would work great.

eh ya know what, maybe leave the overlap. It looks transparent in the image and shows up darker where it overlaps. May look good that way too. Imagine this as something small that is on a "sponcer" area of a shirt, or shorts. It needs to at first glance, to represent both medical and cannabis. I think that image would do it. If possible, can it be mocked up in white as well as black? I figure maybe once I have the image I may be able to have that done, but wonder what it would look like in reverse. The shirts are both colors thus the inquiry. Thanks so much man.

I'll work on it a bit more once I get awake.. lol it only took a few mins to work on and I pulled some lower res images off the net to work with. Once the idea is a bit more cleaned up I will reuse larger images..

you want the file in .psd with layers or in jpeg-tiff? format?

Maybe Jpeg. I would suspect its going to be easier to have printed for other applications if so (if they need it on a flyer or something). Obviously not my thing and I have little education or experience. Any tips/pointers are appreciated.

Thanks gioua! Illustrator takes some practice but is important for making logos because it is vector based (the smooth render you're talking about) and will be remain smooth even if you re-size it larger. Photoshop is raster based (which means pixel based) and can make stuff look pixelated if you blow it up too big. I'm still a novice for sure but I have the basics down pretty well

Yeah I knew difference.. (was not sure anyone else did..lol) 2 brothers both G.A's and it's the first thing they spew forth when they start learning it.. I got to hear it more then once.. and I agree 100% I have seen my younger bro due some speed illustrator work and damn give that boy a wacom tablet and they are poping out clip art left and right within minutes...

It is a different mind set I think when you have someone who can create something out of nothing.. photo editing least has a start point.. lol..
I forced myself to learn ps thoughout the last 15+ years as I would see someone's photo before and then after they had ran some PS work on it.. I was in love.. helped I loved photography and had a small bit of artist in my genes...

I keep telling myself I really should learn illustrator esp since adobe has the cs2 vers free.. so much time... so little desire.. lol

(and now I notice I spelled rendering as rending... duh.. )

I feel you on the "different mind set" when creating something out of nothing, I've had my fair share of time staring at a blank document like where the fuck do I start?! If you ever get around to Illustrator just fuck around with the pen tool haha
