Local officials ask feds to change pot policies.

I thought to share what I see as soon as I see it. This is as close to live as I can get at this time.

President Obama visited the Bay Area today (California) and there were several events of note too during and after his visit.

Here is a report of our California politicians making the effort to protest Federal Policy on California Marijuana.

Please see the link for the whole story.

State and local officials held a news conference in San Francisco Tuesday to call for reform of the federal government's policy on medical marijuana. The event, held just blocks away from where President Obama held a campaign fundraiser later in the day, was attended by Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, D-San Francisco, Fairfax Mayor Larry Bragman and San Francisco Supervisor David Campos. The officials are calling on the federal government to change course after the U.S. Department of Justice announced earlier in October that it would be boosting criminal and civil enforcement efforts to shut down large-scale commercial marijuana enterprises.
