I asked Doc about this.
Doc swears his G13 came from Double D and that he (Doc) paid thousands of dollars for it.
Doc says Double D is KNOWN to have gotten his G13 DIRECTLY from Neville and Double D is KNOWN and it is DOCUMENTED to have had the G13 all these years and saved the pure G13 from extinction.
Doc said Double D is selling the clones for thousands of dollars each and that perhaps Double D is pissed off because Doc made seeds from the G13 and is cutting into his clone selling business.
Doc says that's too bad. That if Double D didn't want someone to make seeds he shouldn't have sold the clone and that when you pay thousands of dollars for a clone you can do what you want with it.
I have been dealing with Doc for years and have never had a reason to doubt anything he has ever told me.

I normally don't weigh in on these "strain pedigree pissing matches" but here goes. Given the illicit nature of our hobby it is near impossible to know the origins of many of these "mythical" strains. I could germ a bagseed, end up with some incredibly potent, killer bud and call it whatever I want or claim it to be whatever I want, but that doesn't necessarily make it so. There is virtually no way for the Doc to prove the cut is what he says it is, just as there is virtually no way to prove it isn't. It would seem that these arguments are soemwhat moot in the scheme of things. Now, back to the hypothetical bagseed I germed. I honestly could give a shit about all these colorful strain names and breeder claims as to the parentage or whatever. If it's dank, I'm happy!
