He said 50 a WEEK, you really should actually read the posts instead of just looking at the words and putting them together to form sentences you dont understand.
Something crawled up your butt and died this morning? The post i read said 50-100 and didnt state a time frame. Which, in turn, would be common to think A MONTH.
You mad, boy?
and instead of comin in here to bash someone, why dont you give alittle advice. Or have you not been in a consumer ed class yet? lol

Whats up with the noobs now a days? You try to be helpful and they attack you for really no reason at all. Seems to me the young kids now have been so coddled by mommy and daddy that they can't take any constructive advice, think they have it ALL figured out. I really think most people just post here to hear people tell them how good they are doing and if they don't get an Ego stroke with every post they come unglued.

2. I was never "offensive", but I think the word you're looking for is defensive in this case..
No, your wrong, again, I used the word Offensive quite correctly. Your post denigrating my inflation advice and then calling me names isn't a defensive action. But then again i don't expect an amoeba like yourself to know the difference.

You have a $10 an hour medical records clerk job, I don't think you make any more than a toll collector, but you certainly make less than I do, by multiples.

That's funny, because that's the exact job I have. But I get 14.36 an hour

and nice dodging everything else I said

/facepalm

So by your logic, I have it all figured out.. but in your previous post you said that I shouldn't be asking for help.

welcome to the internet.

Look kid, its great that you were able to save $3,000 to be able to move out from mom and dads house, really its a life changing event and kudos to you for finally doing it. 3 g's now a days isn't much, and its only going to buy less and less. Inflation is real, its not some conspiracy theory. Your going to start out only needing $300 a month for food, but by the end of the year that number might be more like $450. You get it now? The price of Gasoline is rising too, have you figured these things into your equation? Im not saying you can't make it, im just saying to make sure you make allowances for the cost difference. I would hate to see you go out and then get some loans to outfit your new place and before you know it almost ALL of your check is going to pay off your credit balances and now at the end of the year you are eating nothing but rice and ramen noodles becasue its all you can afford after paying your bills. Then finally your lease is up and you move back to mom and dads broke and with alot of debt to pay off. Statistically that happens quite frequently and even the smartest people I know have fallen into that trap. Normally when people receive advice they solicited but do not like they just say thanks and then don't take the advice. In some situations a guy would just as likely punch your teeth out if you asked them for advice and then jump around and call them names for it. I mean I learned my lesson, if you ever ask for advice again, whether it be growing, tax preparation, tax haven setups, investing OR budgeting you can be sure you won't get any from me.

Listen to drama, hes one of the more intelligent guys here. Hes not trying to bash you, but help you from getting into debt up your ass like so many americans do. And inflation is a REAL thing, its not some government conspiracy thing lol. Good luck with whatever you do.

As far as food goes, depending on prices there I think your about right at 50 a week. The kid, wife and I eat about $130 a week between the 3 of us if we only eat out once a week.

Drama is right though. Ive read alot of his posts around here and tend to agree with him often. Im not saying its a "government conspiracy" causing inflation, but its there nonetheless. I see what he is saying though since the politicians own the oil which raises gas prices, that raises shipping prices, that raise food prices and so on. All these companies push the cost down the line to the consumers...

My best advice is if you cant pay cash then dont buy something. When I first started out I would see something at the store I wanted and put it on the credit card. do this a couple times and your credit card bill that month is $800 with a $75 minimum payment.

Just sit down and make up a budget and stick to it. Have the discipline to say no to yourself or friends when you want something or wanna go out and you dont have the money.
