i bought a bag of 1500 ladybugs for my 25 plants. i release them right before my lights went out and i left some water for it. came back hours later they most of it died.. wtf man, ihave a huge infestation by now as i left it a few days for the mites.. i release some yesterday during light hours just to see how it works, but they wont stay on the plants.. check a few hours later after intial release those also were dead. Seem like the plants is killing them or giving them some kind of high cuz they just keep falling off the plants. I just hate to keep buying sprays as its expensive. I had use neem oil before but that shit stinks and bug be gone which is cheap but not sure if it works and im about to flower. gonna see how many live bugs left tomorrow morning. Any idea why its dying? the temp in there is around high 60's to mid 80's

You used spray then let the lady bugs loose?

Lady bugs are a hell of a lot more sensitive to pesticides then spider mites.

i spray a few weeks back.. the first time i release i didnt wash my plants.. But I kind of washed/ sprayed down with water this morning before I did the final release. I release couple hundreds on this last release and most are dead, I think all will die by morning.

looks like those suckers arent eating the spider mites.. probably got around 20 or so left.. almost 24 hours has passed since i release an armor of couple hundred. may be the source wasnnt good, its the last bag they got and im sure its been in the fridge for a long time.

Lady bugs go into hibernation when they get to cold. Some of them might not be dead, but sleeping depending on your temps.

they should be awake at 70+ degrees and when the lights are on for awhile..maybe a bad bag..

btw, can i use something else beside soil for my next grow? not doing hydro but a substitute to soil.

if you let too many go in a msall area i thikn they kill eachother, and yeah its possible they couold lbe going back to sleep in the cold....you couold also have a bad bag, im pretty sure they live in cycles, if you got yurs near the end then they wont live as long.
