hey guys
just have a quick question for yall.

so I've got a bunch of little seedlings starting
with in those there are two seedlings that are acting really weird.

so they cyots opened up to there first set of leaves
they were fine for a coupLe days and then they started getting this odd yellowish redish hue to them the leave looks like its shrunk and twisting.

no it couldn't be nute burn cuz I didn't give them any food untill I saw this

(sorry for not having pics my phone won't lets upload)
now they were started under a few cfls then moved to 600mh.
probable.s shows while under the cfls...
and I take back the not feeding them at all part. The first wattering was a vary vary diluted mix (like 1ml to 5gals)
but even when I gave them a feed it was still like 16th of suggested


my set up is
1..600wh. Air cooled
I'm in a fifty fifty perlight vermiculite mix
I'm using A.N
micro grow bloom. B52.


mind you these first set of leaves sent even on full blast yet . Maybe half inc long tops

I've done a shit load of searching and only found one person with similar propblems.. But no one had a solution

Whats ur humidity and room temp?

And is there a chance of air toxicity? ... Some material lets off fumes when warmed.

Have u tried to flush them? I know it shouldnt b nute burn but sometimes shit happens.

temps stay between 74-76f
I honestly dont know the humidity levels. But the room dont feel to humid at all

air toxicity. Could be a possibility.. Any materials you can think of that would cause it?
also if air toxicity. Why would it just be those two(there different strans, purpkush, and cheesecake) The rest of the pups look beautiful ,same strain and other strain)

I guess there's a chance it could be a burn..
perlite vermiculite. Has no nutritional value. Which is why I gave them a super light feed.

if I can find something thatay be causing air pollution and remove it. And still dont see a change ill flush... I don't like flushing unless I'm absolutely sure its nessacary

If its just two then it wouldnt b air tox...

Did they go funny b4 or after the feed?

Are u letting the soil dry b4 u water...may have root rot..

they sprouted with a kind of yellow tinge to them..
and yeah I let the medium dry put. They've only had two waterings. There was about 4days in between.

Boron is found in most nutes... U can buy it from a drugstore but is dangerous to use in that high concentrate... Read ur nutes if it has it ur good

As for how boron, is found in almost all soil but its not in all...and is often missing from used dirt or low nute medium

I wonder if there's any trace of it in vermiculite

I wouldn't imagen it would be in the perlite

I'm outs town working tight now got the ol lady taking care of them for the time brj g so I can't check the nutes for anouther two weeks

I'm running advance line up

Not yet... Hows the ph been on them and what was the nute rating? It might be iron or boron being locked in medium

And are u sure there getting proper drainage? That medium might not allow for enough air to the roots

ph stays around 5.8-6.2
which should be the sweet spot for soilless
and what do you mean "nute rating?"

I'm positive they drain good(that was the first thing I checked,actually) and smooth.
In solo cups with about 6-8 a couple mm's smaller then a pencil
also perlite and vermiculite is a pretty airy mix.
thats why I run with that cuz it don't compact like soil. And also it don't have any nutes in it so it kinda gives me more controll when needed


arg this is such a headach.
I had this happen once before but I didn't even try to fix it.
mind right now I've I've got 14 going with those two. So its not ganna kill me to loose them two. But I really wanna figure this out an try to fix it cuz I've seen this happen twice now... And I did so much research with out the slightest bit of closure...
there's really not a whole lot of info on seedling probablems. You try searching it and just find shit about full vegged plants

well I just got alittle upday from the ol lady

looks like the pups have grown out of it some how?
didn't even get to go home and give them a flush or nothing

the second set of leaves are praying.
maybe just a week starter
but looms healthy moew

what ever it was I'm glad irs gone now.
if the ones that were messed up start showing weird shit agin I'm just ganna chop them

or maybe isolate them and do some experiments:)
