Well, just when I thought they were just going to die they seem to be starting to grow roots lol, got a picture of the first root:

Anyway, here is the plant I'll be taking the next clones from, as soon as the branches are big enough :)

I've got 6 durban poison .
I LOVE durban poison!! That stuff is awesome. I was lucky enough to buy some from the local dispensary last year. The smell was so pungent and the taste was amazing. But the buzz -- the BUZZ was out of this world!!!

I'm jealous. I wish I could find a clone locally.

The grow looks great.

Thanks for stopping by PoorDad :) seems to be a strains that a few people like as there was some more people telling me about it :)

Hopefully I'll be able to make a couple of clones in the next week because the next mom is a DP, loving this strain.

So for those of you who don't feel like reading here are some pics of the clone and the ladies:

The clone is doing great, one of the things I wanted to point out is the fact that it didn't get any taller at all since I put it into flowering. This is an amazing finding for micro growers like me so I'll have to run some more test coz it's a real pain to grow with height restrictions.

The ladies are doing good as well. One of the advantages of growing several plants at the same time is that you can see the difference from one to the other and I really enjoy finding differences :) There are some small differences like wider leaves but there are other differences much more interesting like the fact that one of the plants has clearly bigger buds, there is another one (and is the only one) that has started to grow trichomes, also one is stretching more and other less etc

I'm so looking forward to have a new grow space to start some selective breeding :D

Well, and here are couple more pics of the clones:

020620111888.jpg020620111889.jpg

The one in the first picture grew that root two days ago and doesn't seem to be growing bigger or growing new roots, weird.

The clone in the second picture looks a little better, grew the "big" root yesterday and seems to be growing 3 roots so lets see what happens with them :)

damn lince shit is starting to fill Out nice. I know what you mean by liking the differences in the plant I am in the same boat and I love looking at the two figuring out what I should grow next. Any ways keep it up they look great. STAY HIGH!!!

Hey penyajo, thanks buddy :) you are right man, I can't stop thinking what will come next lol. stay high!!

BTW i forgot to mention that I'm already starting to reduce the hours of light. Just to remind you, I gotta harvest in 30 days aprox. so I will reduce the hours of light. I reduced them 30" today so the plants will be getting 11.5h of light now, will keep reducing 30" every day until they get 10h of light a day, and then around the 15th I'll reduce it even more to only 8h of light.

They started flowering a little bit late so I'm not sure if they'll be ready in time, but it'll be a nice experiment :)

Also the clone should be harvested around the 19th so I'll see if the 10h of light make any effect on her.

So the first clone (1st pic) doesn't seem to be growing anymore roots so there is probably something wrong with it but the second one is growing some nice roots, I changed the water today :)

You can compare with the pics from yesterday couple of posts back.

Also another 30" were removed from the hours of light :)

Yo lince! I thought I'd check back in and everything is looking awesome man! I clone using the Root Riot cubes and it takes me about 5-10 days to get roots depending on temps. I have about 90% success this way. One of those plants is leaving the others behind eh? The flowers are beastin' in the second pic of the buds.

Thanks for stopping by mate :) You are suppose to get roots also in 5-10 days with this dwc method but there is something wrong with mine I haven't figure out yet. I think it may be because of the plant or the way I take the clones. I'll see what happens with the tomato clone and hopefully I'll be taking clones from a new plant soon, that way I'll be able to know if I've got a problem with the dwc system or with the mom :)

well well, today was play time and many things have changed in my grow rooms :)

Clones:
I got rid of 3 old clones that didn't root after 25 days and the one that grew a small root, I'm keeping just the one in the picture where you can see the last 3 days progression on root developing.

020620111889.jpg030620111911.jpg040620111919.jpg040620111920.jpg

News about the tomato, after 6 days is starting to grow an incredible amount of roots althought as you can see on the pics they are still small, but there are plenty of them!!! So why didn't the mj clones root after 20 days ? maybe a genetic issue ?

What else... one of the females in the flowering box was stretching too much and developing buds slowly so I decided to take it out of the box, cut the 4 branches she had and put her under 18/6 to try and reveg her. With the branches, as I had some free space in the cloner I decided to put them there and see if they root. They were flowering but lets see what happens :) Here is the before and after picture of the reveg:

I tried to keep it short but is difficult as hell lol anyway hope you guys enjoyed the pics bongsmilie

If anybody has any question/information about any of this don't hesitate to post, suggestions or any other comments are also welcome bongsmilie

I change the timer again today, removed another 30 minutes of light and so right now it's 10/14. I'll probably leave it like that for the next two or three weeks and then leave it or change it to 8/16.

Thanks buddy :) I think I'm starting to get the idea of the whole cloning and DWC method

Miss you guys! Everything looks as if it's going really well. I'm actually pretty jealous right now lol. I have x2 plants going right now though. I'll post new pictures on my old thread...it's nice to be back around lol

Well well, I finally got a chance to keep growing so I put some of my lowryder crossed seed on the dirt :) this lowryders are lowryder#1 fem x lowryder#1 male. Both regular seeds and I want to know how they turn out. The thing is that I'm growing them outside and they are getting 12h of light but I'm also growing some other strain so I'll see if there is a noticeable difference between the strains. Anyway I'll see if I can put them inside under 18/6 or plant new seeds in a cab inside, I haven't got the setup right now.

Well, not only the seed have shown sex after about 20 days but the three of them are females :hump:

I'll be germinating some more as soon as possible to run some more test :)
