ok so i have a 400w hps that i am using to veg for my first grow ever. came across a 1000w metal halide/ hps. gonna use the metal halide for the rest of veg but was just wondering what i'm going to use to flower. should i use the 400w for flowering and keep the 1000w metal halide in the veg room, or should i use the 1000w for flowering and keep the 400w hps in the veg room. thoughts?

you should get a 400w hps bulb with added blue spectrum for veg and use the 1000w hps to flower, thats what i would i would do at least. The 400w hps bulb you got now will work for veg, but a mixed spectrum is always a good idea.

Yeah mate 1000w for flowering deffinatly! Should produce some nice buds with that!

good point bulla. my veg room is small. my flowering room is gonna be 5x5 by 7" high. I should probably keep that thing up pretty high as it's probably gonna get pretty hot huh?

use smaller light in smaller room ......i would use bigger room for my flower room and keep them rotating harvest 4 replace 4 outta veg room next week harvest 4 replace with 4 from veg room ....i dont know the #s u will harvest but thats easy to figure out...i dont know how your gonna grow but just thought id throw it your way
