Lighting Setup

I read the sticky here at the top of the forum about lighting, but have gotten some conflicting advice. According to the sticky, for fluorescents, 3000K is in the red range, and 6500K would be bluish light.

I originally got some "wide spectrum lights", which didn't tell me anything about the color temperature (supposedly covering all temps??), and then got some advice to pick up two tubes - one 5000K and one 6500K and use those two together in my 2bulb fixture.

I was browsing the lights today at walmart and found some "warmer kitchen and bath" tubes at 3000K, so I went ahead and snagged them since I was told 3000K should be in the red range. I'm wondering, shouldn't I be using a combination more like one 3000K and one 6500K for best growth results? Right now I'm just starting my seedlings, so I'm thinking maybe this is where the 5000K and 6500K advice is coming from - this that right? Should I stick with the current setup until the plants are more mature and ready to flower, then switch over to some 3000K lamps?

At this point, I've got 2 3000K lamps, 1 5000K, 1 6500K and 2 "wide spectrum" - I'm tempted to stick them all up, but I'd love to know which ones will best suit me and when.

thanks
