I need to buy a few cfl lights, and ive been looking at these 26w ge light that are supposivly are equivalint to 100w but whatever. my question is which ones would be better or which purpose would these two lights be. Im deciding between the ge t-3 spiral cfl, one light offers a regular everyday light with 2700k for the color temp, and another has a more natural cool light with 6500k. please help!!!

hey man you should you use the 6500k for veg (growth stage) and 2700k for bloom (budding stage). how many plants are you planning to do?

this is a small thing, about two three plants tops and within a small area, roughly 4' tall, 3' wide 3' long... and gonna be using four of those ge lights

Even with only 2 or 3 plants you are going to need more lights than that to do very well at all. I would have at LEAST 4 of those bulbs per plant. 4 will get you started ok, but they will grow fast and you should plan on adding more.
If you dont have enough light your plants will be weak and grow tall and skinny. Then the lights you have above the plants will only reach the top and the rest of the plant won't get any light. You know wut I'm sayin? the more light you start out with the shorter, and denser you can keep your plants. When they are short and dense you can get away with less cfl's then if they are tall and stretched. That's why people LST alot with cfls because you can better utilize whatever light you have.
THE LIGHT FROM CFLS DOES NOT WORK FROM A DISTANCE! CFL lights must be VERY close to satisfy the plant.
Make sure you read the growFAQ and the sticky about light proximity!
Good luck, happy growing. :)
