lighting question

so im gonna grow one plant in my dresser it is 3 feet 7 inches tall 2 feet 5 inches wide and 1 foot 7 inches deep would a 400 watt MH for veg and 400 what for flower be to much light?

yes. itll be way too hot, and you don't have enough height. go w CFLs

hmm ok what if i used a 250 watt MH and HPS with ventilation of course

and the reflector im getting has a built in ventilation system to keep the lamp nice and cool

you can try a 250 in there but you're going to run out of room unless you scrog. They will grow into the light and burn up. Trust me. You don't have enough room. The light takes up space, the pots take up space, and you've got to leave at least 12 inches of clearance under the light so they don't burn. That leaves you with about ten inches of grow space. you're much better off with cfls, which are cooler to touch and can be positioned anywhere. but do whatever you want

in a space that small you need CFL instead of a 250 hps/mh.
