Lighting for early flowering

Just wanted to pick some brains on what u guys think about using mh for the first two weeks of flowering to battle the stretch and internode length and then switching to hps for the rest of flowering, or do u think it would be better to stick with hps from the beginning?

If you want to minimize stretch.....that about all you can do.Keep your mh on them until a week after flower,if you use nutes, keep with veg nutes till you see flowers, then bust out the hps or whatever flowering lights you use.GL.peace

When I switch to 12/12 I run my mh for the first 2 weeks. I also use only veg nutes during this period. I grow a kush strain and it greatly reduces stretch for me. I have tried running my hps from the start and I get way more stretch with the hps.

Its gonna stretch I little.....either way......it just won't stretch AS bad:)....if height is an issue you can always supercrop.

I plan on topping and super cropping either way to keep them short and bushy, I just wanted to get some opinions on keeping the mh light on for the beginning of flower. I've never found much information in this, only on the improvements the lights make when used together for flower. I plan on keeping the 400 mh light on two weeks into flowering and then switch to 400 watt hps and 1-200 watt mh( small 100 watt bulb with high end 100 watt ballast(2x)
