I can't wait for my herb iron to come, ordered the green one. Plus i emailed herb iron and they are sending me a free stand
Man, a stand would be killer.

I'll need to buy one soon, mine had the metal shield ("element support") fall off, and i have been resting mine in the crack of the ashtray normally for cigs....kinda ruining the heating element i think. Actually element suport makes sense, the thing flops around without it, but damn this thing has lasted 6+ months without it, thats Quality.

Learning from my mistakes ;)

Let me know how that stand works out!

It has the ceramic heating element just like many whip vapes come with. To be completely honest, the herb iron is same thing as the heating element in my silver surfer, just a slightly shorter heating element itself and a grip instead of stand and whip setup. The ssv cost me $250, the herb iron $60 (you'll find them on sale on aqualabs every couple months), to me thats a damn good price for the herb iron, yeah its not much, but its the best at what it does period.

Its still a glorified soldering iron. you can get them at radioshack for 12 dollars. and yes they have a ceramic heating element. you could have bought 5 of them for the price you payed for that garbage. Or you could use a lighter like the rest of the world, and stop trying to be so fucking fancy about smoking pot. Its a WEED for fucks sake.

you would have to modify it for use on a switch... to turn on and off..... + the one at radio shack would get way too hot for smoking purposes...

and the one at radio shack will probably cause a serious burn on your arm or furniture as a result of those things... and end up costing you in pain

herb iron is set up for smoking purposes as far as wattage... and the 1 time accidental break warranty.... worth $70... for fucks sake it's like $70 thats less than a quarter in most places for a lifetime worth of lighting up at home.

& i like being fancy... it gives me something to do  i smoke hash oil and use my volcano all day... in fact because of that i let my friend borrow my Herb Iron... I love my hash oil and volcano bags, it tastes great and gets you more fucked up than torching bowls with lighters thats a scientific fact.... :?

when I spark joints I just use bee line :)

Regardless of "straight up G's" opinion, I cant even tell you the countless times I couldent find a lighter....and guess what was ALWAYS there for me?

the Fucking Herb Iron.

And that 12 dollar Soldering Iron from radio shack? Does not have a ceramic heating element, and if it does, what is it 8 watts? GTFO with your dumbass logic and 12 second thought that your still defending.

Go ahead and DONT buy the herb iron for all we care, Enjoy burning your house down with that 8w soldering iron after it falls off your coffee table, but its still red hot because there is NO on/off switch.

Come on man....keep arguing, you just make yourself look stupid. This is a great product, dont be upset you didnt come up with it ;)

+1 to Louis, and Herb Iron.

hello,
i have got the herb iron. I just feel it need to stay on. When you push button in as i dont like it as you need to wait 10 to 20 sec each time to heat the thing up for a nice bong rip. Would be nice if was always on when push it in or alway off . so get rid of the holding button in would be best ever.

it essentially arcs electricity on a ceramic tip causing it to glow at a rather hot temperature, allowing you to cherry your weed instantly.

sorry to revive a dead threat but lol. Just found it ironic that you're issue with the herb iron is the reason most people use a herb iron instead of a hakko. Cause having something left on and red hot is sketchy as fuck!

Warranty - The guys behind The Herb Iron stand behind their product with the industries only lifetime warranty against defects and 1 year accidental damage warranty.

Great review! I'm gonna get one!
Just a little heads up though...
I copied this from the FAQS page on herbiron.com...
"We are so confident in the Herb-Iron that we even offer a 90 day "One Time Accidental damage exchange. If you drop your Herb-Iron and for example you break the ceramic tip off, just contact us and send it back with the original sales invoice and we will quickly repair or exchange it.".
It's not one year as written in this review and also YOU pay any shipping for your returns.
