light reddish/brown new growth

My plant is a week and a half old now and I just started noticing that the new leaves coming in are light reddish/brown just at the base of the leaves (opposite of the tips). I think it might be nute burn but from most of the pics I've seen, nute burn symptoms start at the tips of the leaves, not at the base... It would make sense if it was nute burn since I just started feeding it but I dunno. Whatever it is, it doesn't look pretty.

However, the rest of the plant looks normal.

Anyone got a guess as to what this might be? Any solutions?

Its hard to surmise without pics, but i would guess that your on the right track with the nute burn. Just flush them with plenty of water before you resume your feeding schedual and start with weak nutrient mix.
