Light on Extension Cord

My new 12 gauge 15 amp extension cord has a light built into the female end. Can I safely duct tape the end to douse the light? Thanks.

Is it a small green light that shows it has power to it, like a GFI switch???its not incandescent is it???if so no...if its just an indicator light then NGO ahead...what color is the bulb???

It's orange. An indicator light. I'm a little paranoid about light, and electricity. I had a hermie last time I think due to the damn light on my power strip.

I have the same exact thing.. been using it for about 5 years now and never a Hermie..
I say it all the time but people get freaked over small amounts of light in grows and ime it's simply not true..
