light hangers

i grow in an old trailer home i need a way to hang my 5x5 grow light without a tent. i dont even have studs in the ceiling looked at light stands but cant find one big or tall enough how can i hang my light?

You could build a simple structure out of PVC pipe and 3-way elbow fittings. I'd think 1" would probably be decently strong.

You could run a chain or something from one side of the room to the other, and screw eye bolts into the top plates or studs in the walls, up as high as you can go. If you have moldings running around the wall to ceiling area, they usually are only air nailed in, and would help to cover up the holes back up if you temporarily remove them. OR, just drill right through them, than fill the holes back into them later with wood putty, etc.

Sounds like you'd be better off using a tent.

Whatever material was used, your ceiling has to be hanging from something, unless you can see the roof, in which case you should have some kinda rafter. I mean, what keeps the lid on your trailer home?
