Levels of THC/CBD during flower

Hello guys!

Does anyone know if there is a study out there, comparing the % of THC and CBD in differrent stages of flower?

What i want to know is, if for example CBD reaches its Maximum earlier than THC during flower.

Also, does anyone know how Curing affects the % of THC and CBD? I read that some THC will degrade to CBD and some THC may get lost over time, but are there any labor analysis available?

I know it affects potency, smell etc. But I am interested in the change of % between those both.

Cheers!

Kinda answered your own question at the end .....if it effects potency then it's to do with % ....wouldn't ya think?

What you are asking is 100% strain dependant
It probably is, but maybe someone did a analysis on a certain strain or even different strains to have a small insight in the behavior of THC/CBD levels...

I don't see potency similar to % when its about cured weed. im not a expert to be able to tell which chemical processes happen during curing, but the older a wine is, the better it tastes, even through it's alc. % stays almost the same....

I don't want to start a discussion about cured weed or anything similar. I am just curious if there are tests about this out there. Otherwise I will have to start to make my own analysis

Tons of literature on this very thing .....and my flowers stay in cure a minimum of 90 days before my patients get em .....but usually 6 to 8 months ......everything as far as % change through the flowering process.....but it is also strain dependent like mentioned above ....The biggest factor in fact IMO.

But when you chop has a lot to do with your final product..... @cannabineer can most likely answer your question more precisely......GL

I flat don't know. I can discourse about the chemistry, but this s a botany question, and I haven't seen any info that I can remember.

May I ask you if you would be interested to test your buds before and after they are cured? Mine will take another 8 weeks until they are ready for harvest and then another few months until they are cured... We could share expenses or I could pay them all if needed.

Best regards!

I wish I could find something solid on this, particularly CBD strains. All I've ever seen was anecdotal accounts and one Harlequin (BC Bud Depot) write up that says they should be pulled earlier rather than later to obtain the highest CBD levels. I've yet to see any real scientific paper or properly tested/documented grows comparing them.

Thats exactly what I am looking for... Maybe someone here in the forum is willing to test his results?

Yeah, unfortunately not possible for me right now. But sometime next year that testing option will be available once we're legal. Only way to tell really, specially with CBD.
