not really, it depends on where you live. If your not in the pacific NW then you will have to haul water in...

One time years ago I tried a guerrilla grow with Germinated seeds. It was a failure.

I tried planting germed seeds in an area near a swamp where the water level was near the surface.

But most of the seeds never took, the soil was too dry for the first week so they died. The few that did live were killed by animals and under watering.

So Ive only had success with seedlings.

Was thinking the same thing, this morning, and for the last couple years. Mother Nature has been doing this for a few (million) years, so it's doable, for sure. I've found strains that will, & does, just drop seeds and the seeds pop, quickly. But for you, all that's needed is a strain that feels 'at-home' in your area. First, I would do the search and find out, & make a list of the max & min. temps for the last 5 years in your area, and the humidity, rain fall, elevation and day light hours per month. But maybe, you may cut to the chase, and get the miles that the Equator is away from your area, and make note of all the Countries that match that same distance north of the Equator, and all those south of the Equator, same miles way. Also, like the Kush Strain, it's native to the Kushistan (?) Mountains in Afghanistan, which means they thrive in colder temps. Stay away from hybrids, seek only land race strains. There may be a strain in the mountains of China or Russia that would thrive in your area. Also, on this site, about 4 months ago, I seen a post where a Guy used a certain strain in the colds of Canada that done really well.
Once a strain(s) has been decided upon, ( I would plant 6" or taller to begin, instead of dropping seeds) the placement of the grow spot is now of most import. First, the South side of a mountain or hill is important. A tree wind break on the north side is a good thing. An area where full sun is available from all points east, south & west. The grade of the area should be as close to level as possible. This is where I would plant as many as possible. A female plant can make 2,000 seeds per plant. Rain wash & wind will spread some. Birds & seed eaters will eat some, or a lot. But overall, the next Springtime, you should witness a beautiful sight, 100's of Babies reaching for the Sun. A little DE spread at this time will keep a lot of bugs from eating the babies. It would be very interesting to watch,.. after 3 years, kill the males, gather 500 lbs, of bud, and retire. Just a thought.

haha thanks for that post good info, there are strains like northern lights that can take alot of abuse, so it might be a good strain it would be nice to grow enough to last me until next season.

Hello Neighbor. Know the area well. Lived on Lake T. for awhile, etc, but harbor on the "Lupe. I know the area/soil well. A Gardener takes note of all the soils he visits. Sand & red Clay 4U? Hope not. Anyway, Dealt with 4 seed Company's, 2 sucked, 2 was wonderful. Both Marijuana seeds NL & The Attitude is both professional, fast & stealth. However, they price the seeds as the seed producers demands, which varies greatly, IE: 300 for 10 seeds that yields 250 grams of Bud, or.... 60 for 10 seeds that yield 1,000 to 15,000 grams. You do the math. Check out KC Brains, then let The Attitude ship your seeds. Cool? I order credit card, on line. No Prob. Fast & easy.

SO Coool! I've been posting KCB questions but the threads keep getting highjacked by Kids that want to tell me only $150 beans and up are worth a fuck. Idiots:dunce:

I'm wanting to either get KCB NL (attitude has been sold out 4ever!) or the seedsman NL @attitude.

I'm actually this morning smoking some stuff thst is a WW X Mystery sativa. (Scwag priced weed scored in austin from an illegal~Mexican?). It is the Smoooothest, best smoke I've had in a long time! maybe ever! but it flowered for about 13-15 weeks!

Thanks so much! Where R U now? I was supposed to visit the Devil's river, just north of del rio @xmas...but i can't leave my plants!

Dude, I started with NL from KC. Actually, I had 18 strains to play with come 08 Spring. Anyway, because I fucked up & planted the shit in black nursery pots, the shit fried, but will get some more NL. I advocate Easy Sativa, also. THC Bomb, don't know, due to my fuck-up, but have seeds. The Easy Sativa done better than it should have. But for base, try the Afghan, and go for Lollipops dancing in your head from there.
I Harbor on the "Lupe.

KC is probably the only reputable breeder who is more concerned with spreading the love than making mad money. I've heard nothing but good things about his stable strains, kc33, leda uno and NL are supposedly his specialties, but i've current;y got some mango en route, picked that one as it won the CC for best indica a few years back.

The Gruene Gristmill Restaurant was added on about 6 years ago, that's my work. I'm a Carpenter. The square headed nails for the floor was special ordered. I set all the doors, the whole shit, etc.

Very cool. Been there, it's nice. I went to school to be a luthier about a hundred years ago so i know my wood like I know my weed. It just needs to be a hands on experience.

A bunch of friends of mine have a big clay-fest down there about a half a block from there every year.

I'm planning on doing the same thing. I live in west Pennsylvania and I was planning on buying some seeds, germinating them, then putting them in some decent natural soil near the edge of a field, and just letting them go. It's very possible if you get a hardy strain that can take abuse. After all, marijuana isn't NEARLY as sensitive as people make it seem. I mean, sure, if you get some pussy cross-breeds, but if you take a plant that can handle a beating, them putting it in nature to fend for itself may not be that bad. Obviously your not looking for the best yield or highest potency, I just want to see a beautiful plant take root on its on and see what mother nature can do.

:peace:

How about Ruderalis Skunk or Ruderalis Indica??

http://www.sensiseeds.com/ruderalisskunk/1p2304.html

http://www.sensiseeds.com/ruderalisindica/1p236.html

Thats whats going outdoors for me next season. If they grow in russia they can grow in the UK right??
a great choice for the short outdoor season, i live in canada and many growers are fans of ruderalis crosses for their autoflowering, early finishing traits. Keep in mind they're usually not quite as potent as a pure indica\sativa\cross, but so long as they're crossed with something with some zazz to it they really do the trick. Overall a solid option.
