I can't disagree with you that everyone should be able to grow, but I am also aware drastic changes can't happen over night. I left it purposely narrow in terms of requests as I thought it would be easier and quicker to implement than a full scale policy change. If we all think we should go further, we can go there. I like your points and agree we should cc the pm and media.
You can write it differently. You can ask for these immediate changes and then ad your request that it be treated like any other plant after the fact. Illustrate why it's good for everyone etc.

I want to keep the request realistic. We may think mj should be treated like any other plant, but that is not going to happen in our lifetimes. Unlike tomatoes or tulips, MJ is a intoxicant as well as a sought after commodity and like alcohol, the government will want to protect us from ourselves while keeping their mitts in the cookie jar. They will have to address the public concerns over underage access....something they don't have to worry about with lettuce and radishes. Asking for too much could get us dismissed as unrealistic stoners IMO.

Many plants are intoxicants. Many plants are deadly poisonous. Your attitude is the exact kind of attitude that is going to 100% ensure a completely shitty result. So, count me out of your letter.. I'll just keep writing my own.

Unrealistic. Who cares. It's the best position. Bowing to a bunch of fucking retards (general public) /evil fucks (government and the corporatists they answer to) is not something I will ever do. And the only way to change peoples minds is to get the ideas out there. Not just go along to get along.

Btw sorry if that seems on edge but the Gregory Allen Elliot thing has me really pissed off at the moment. That's an actual conspiracy to squash freedom of speech being executed by a feminist (read: Marxist) prosecutor and her buddy Steph Guthrie (and friends) - who according to someone who was also friends with them at a meeting, they openly conspired to get locked up for the simple act of disagreeing with their bullying of a kid who made an offensive game (attempts to wreck his life as much as possible through doxing) in response to a bunch of really ignorant shit being spouted off about gamers and games in general.

If you don't know about this case, and you probably don't since the national media outside of the Post has completely ignored this incredibly important case, you should look into it. The freedom to disagree on the internet is at stake in Canada. No exaggeration at all. Just read the court documents and you'll have to ask how in the fuck did this guy ever get charged with anything and worse - how in the fuck could the judge justify denying him access to anything capable of accessing the internet (read: his computer that he used for his job) until the trial was over - it's been 3 years since then and he's now 50 grand in debt while the girls falsely accusing and pressing charges as the prosecutor is involved in this conspiracy are doing it on my tax dollars.

If you wonder why I conflate feminism and marxism it's because they are the same thing. Feminism was birthed by radical marxists. Anyway this case is super super important. More important even than Allard. It's set to be decided relatively soon.

I have not heard about that case, but I'm not sure what it has to do with legalization? We seem to have very different views on what legal means or looks like - it's all good, makes for an interesting discussion. I think it was a little unfair to say my attitude will be responsible for a shitty system. We haven't seen what that system looks like yet. As much as I've dreamed of the day (since high school), a wild west anarchy approach to marijuana is never going to happen. I have watched the attitudes change over the last 4 decades, but public opinion, especially in regards to use by kids, is still a barrier we have to cross and that involves compromise. I think people are ready to treat weed like alcohol and that is the best we can hope for at the moment. It is a huge step forward from the 1970's and as long as we are all allowed to grow for our own consumption, I can live with it. Regulations, rules, laws and taxes are a reality in civilized societies and I don't see MJ being excluded, unfortunately.

I have known Greg for over 30 years.
He's a stand up guy being hung by our system.
All because they want to keep their jobs.
No one gives a rats ass about the fact he has lost his job and any credibility he ever had...

except...He's the truth and the lies will all come out in the end. We can only hope.
Its a travesty of justice, this whole deal!

Jan 22nd is the day we find out just how fucked up it can go for saying NOTHING BAD online and how others can say different and win and have you put in jail..
They won when he lost his job and got banned from defending himself!!!! Over three years ago now...and this trial has gone on this long because of the insanity and lies.

Hope yer reading this everyone.

I hope you realize that things said online now a day can and do get people in trouble.
It's no longer the safe WWW with regard to what you can say.
Watch and see what Im refferring to.

The "Twitter trial of Greg Allen Elliot" This trial is exactly what I'm referring to.
If he goes to jail,,,what you have said about others can put you there for a good long time.
I know its hard not to talk about assholes and what they do wrong. It's just that singling them out makes it an issue.

I couldnt give a rats ass what ya have to say really. It's all good in my books!! (:

You're not allowed to disagree with feminists. You get charged with criminal harassment.

I guess we shall see how it ends up..

The take...?

....They want to toss the whole damn thing away and is why its gone on for three long years. they needed to come up with an excuse. .. Any of the people involved want to wash their hands of it all.
They know they all could easily lose their jobs for what they have done or go to jail themselves.
They know that the same actions taken against Greg could easily be directed towards them, and down they go...one after the other, the whole GIANT list of bullshit artists.
