the only reason i don't like organics is that it's hard to adress an issue right now by top dressing...by the time stuff breaks down and becomes usable, i'm in the middle of my next plant

Careful! Too much of a good thing is bad! That’s way more toodress than I would use.
My rule of thumb is two dressings per cycle. Once pre flower @ 1 teas/ gallon.
Once again during flower stretch.
At each top dress 1/2 inch of castings over top.
Many times as organic cultivators we think doing something weekly or on a schedule is needed. IMO just keeping a baseline availability of npk and focus on soil structure/ biology/ and watering practice is where the golden ticket is. Remembering to water EVERYDAY is key to microherds ability to process raw elements into plant food. The water is life. Or gas for the tank. We get a lot farther and better mileage if tank is kept full. Running it down to E and restarting is starving plants of vital elements when the plant wants them.

5% by volume per day for a fully flowering plant is pretty common but there’s a bell curve to it.

runoff is a good peice of information. If you get runoff right away the soil is typically too dry. Soil has become hydrophobic due to microbes waxy cyst created during times of drought. If the catch trays have runoff say hours after watering snd it doesn’t wick back in then slightly over watered. Finding the just right level is somewhere in between

I chatted with the owner of buildasoil at a convention last year and he said the craft blend is specifically formulated for re-amending, if you top soil with it and spray and cover it, youll have visible mycelium within days.
