Those are great pics, how are you getting them?

I picked up a digital microscope the other day but it must be attached to the PC to work so I can't get the "in the field" shots.

Onlytheone, it's getting there, I felt mine were pretty much white, but not really why I picked, BUT WOULD LIKE OPINIONS ON TRICHOMESTRICHOMES.jpgTRICHOMES2.jpgTRICHOMES3.jpgTRICHOMES4.jpg, had some rot and upon further looking found 3 bud worms in bud, so have more that need cutting due to rot

Outdoorfarmer:
Trichomes are tricky little bastards, some articles will point to amber while others point to a cloudy & amber mix and still others point to clear & cloudy. This is where as a grower you can decide what to do and when to harvest. For as many people are on this site you'll probably get as many different answers to this question, with most pointing towards the cloudy & amber mix.

My suggestion would be try different combos {if this is an option of course} and see what works best for you.

But then again... I could be just talking out my ass, because I've only been doing this for 2 yrs lol.

thx mojoRison, I agree, was hoping to get a 60/40 or 50/50 but due to issues had to cut and need to cut more, so was curious what others thought about what they see for trichome color in these pics,

From what the pics show, you've got really good trich production with nice bulbous heads so I would think that your bud will be just as nice, as for the high and taste that's where technically the differences will show up. It's really hard to say what the end result will be, depending on the strain it could be awesome or it could turn out mediocre...but hey at least you got some smoke right.

thx MojoRison,, bud rot is never gd, but when it happens and 1 believe it could be close to chopping , and as you noted this could be a trial / error moment, but would maybe have to quick dry to get an idea how it will smoke ( which I've done before )

Well stupid fucking me, I wasn't watching where I was stepping and snapped a branch clean off. Instead of berating myself too much I took this opportunity to see where I'm at trich wise, the thing is I wasn't planning on harvesting till the end of this month, so here's my pics.

Nice pics everyone! Looks like you're all about the same stage as me. MojoRison, you need to be careful! It looks to me like you got some good trich pics! I use a Canon digital camera on the flower setting (appropriate!), then I zoom in and crop the picture to enlarge it. OutdoorFarmer, sorry about the bud rot! That sucks, I know from experience. I lost about half my yeild a couple years ago to spider mites which molded my buds from the inside out. Personally, I think you are a few weeks away from harvest at least. I'd spray those bastards heavily with neem oil, and eliminate by hand as much as you can. Just rinse the plant off with water a couple times before you are planning on chopping. If you get any rain, that might rinse them off too. That's just me. I hate being forced to harvest early!
Love this first picture, looks like something undersea!
