Canndo were you saying you think they are ready to be cased? The casing i plan on using is for the GT (small round container) I was going to a "canopy" tek with seed starter. The bigger pan I was just going to use verm.

I don't like straight verm, seems to keep things to sparse. I'd go with a mixture of as little as 20 percent coir. 80 fine verm brought to field capacity and then pasteurized, maybe 3/4 to an inch deep, very lightly packed. I have no idea what a canopy tec is.

OK well I did a 80/20 verm /seed starter for my two cakes. I also did a g2g from 1 pint of GT to 4 qrts of WBS, as well as 1 pint of B+ to 4 qrts of WBS. The PE pints still need a day or two before I do that g2g. Sorry no pics this time around as I had to hurry due to others in the house that were supposed to be gone to a friends house. Gota stay sneaky you know. I will provide an update with pics in a couple of days.

So were to begin.....Well i did a G2G on 7/26/13 for the GT and B+. (The PE wasnt quite ready.) So that was 3 days ago and here is what they look like.

Here is the PE pint that wasnt ready yet. It is ready now. So I will be doing a G2G in the next day or so.

Lets see I used the only LC that grew (B+) and noced up a jar on 7/25. Looks like it is good and viable.

Ok here are the tubs/cakes not really sure what to call them. Any way they were done on 7/24. The PE looks like it is ready for its casing.

Ok now here are my problem children. The PE pint looks weird. It is a lot more fluffy than the others. It doesnt smell bad but looks weird. Kinda hard to smell throught the airport. What do you think?

These last two jars are the stalled Jars these are almost a month old. You can still see "chaulk" on the seeds but nothing growing. SO do I call these dead? Not sure what to do with these.

The first two cakes are in the FC. No pics yet as there is nothing to show really. They are cased with an 80/20 verm/seedstarter mix. Keep watching as soon as there is something I will be posting pics.

At this point I believe I will need to be adding another FC to the two I already have.

Well lets see. There are pros and cons to it. It seems to be cheaper, easier, faster to get fruit, than growing smoke. Spores are legal, seeds are not. Neither are legal to grow. But on the other hand ster practise is a must, were growing smoke not a big deal. One of the draw backs is with smoke, the smell to me ,is part of the package. With mushies all you smell is mushrooms. There is more science and chem growing mushies. Mushies though you only do every once in a while were as weed I smoke atleast once a day. Mushies you can almost watch them grow and with smoke well it takes some time. So far I am enjoying growing the mushies. I mean hell in a little over a month and I will be getting fruit soon. Some people dont like the way shrooms taste. The times I have had them they had a nutty taste to me. They werent bad at all and I never felt any nausea. BUT smoke is my drug of choice. I love the smell, the taste and the high. I am very picky about what I will and wont smoke. Hell speaking of, all my chores are done time to hit my Kaos......

Why aren't you shaking those jars? you'd likely have been fully colonized by now. Also, although it is somewhat minute, the longer you have mycelium growing on a portion of substrate the more nutrient is extracted. Shake those jars man.

These jars have no where to go right now. I am going to let them fully col and stick them in the fridge till one of the 2 FC is about to free up. Maybe just dunk a couple of the jars then roll in verm and stick in the FC if i have room, after the other two cakes (pics above) go into the second FC. But the rest of the jars are headed in the fridge till later.

I did more jars than i would need with contams in mind. I only have a couple of jars that are duds. but no contams as of yet. So not really in a rush over these jars right now. But if i had room for them then yes I would have shaken after i took the pics.

Remember this is for personal use only. Share some with friends. Even if these did medeocre I will still have more shrooms than I will know what to do with. This whole thing is one big experiment for me. I am doing things that may not be needed at this time, but i want to do to have the experience for later. I plan to do some agar, take prints,make syringes perfect my LC tek that sort of thing. I am going to start some edibles and Ghost soon. Well when funds allow. So it is one thing to mess up shrooms but another thing altogether when you are talking about me eating. I am a big foodie. I love to eat. I have a small garden outside. Love me some fresh mator sandwhiches. sorry rambling now. Damn pipe got me again.....

I insist upon having a garden full each year, I put in about 50 tomatoes, corn, peppers, etc etc but the tomatoes are my pride. This year is the first year I didn't get the effluent from all of my friend's grow rooms - which is what I used to help my tomatoes along. That coupled with my being away for 4 weeks means that what usually brings me a bumper crop of tomatoes, and plants 12 feet high are giving me all I can eat but not a hell of a lot to can. The corn has always needed help in pollenization and I didn't do that, though the corn is damn high. I am lamenting my tomatoes so I understand. Still, that dunk and roll thing - really?

LMAO yeah really. Just so i can see what happens. I wish i could have my garden that big but my land is a rock shelf so everything is in containers.

All but the last two have overlay, either patch them or shock them. the last two are ready go into fruiting mode.

Canndo all six pics are of the same 2 tubs. They have been in the FC since 7/26 or 27th.
Whatever, you have overlay, time for that fresh air and if you can, a drop in temperature, you could try patching, or scratching but I never found scratching to work.

Used about a 1/4 to 1/2 in thick. On both tubs. I have been faning 4 to 5 times a day. The temps run from 75 to 80 degrees.
