I got one of my good friends back this year from his 4 year "vacation" in Iraq and he's staying. Hope you all get to do the same and thanks for your hard work out there.

Sorry man, I got to disagree with you here, they played the same bullshit trick on us in the old south africa.
If anything, those people are antagonising poeple who will seek revenge and vengeance for generations to come, for the profit of a few rich old men.

Very mixed feelings, I am very grateful to all the men and women who put their life on the line to protect my family, friends and I. However...
war is wrong.
Guns are wrong. (hunting/target is fine)
And the military is fu^ked up and does some horrible horrible unethical unjust cruel things because some politician or officer has a motive.

SO thank you but please put down the AR15 and take this fat spliff i rolled ya. :P

I dunno, I think it's a pretty good deal there. Aside from airports, you're going to have to pay to get the same quality strip search elsewhere

Amen OP. Regardless of what has/is causing the wars, these men and women aren't out there fighting for oil or gold, they are defending their families, friends, and fellow citizens. The big picture can be argued about until the end of time, but the men and women that serve deserve our honor and respect.

I spent a Christmas in Saudi Arabia (Log Base Alpha) during Operation Desert Shield. A few weeks later it would become Operation Desert Storm. It was kind of a depressing Christmas.
